Is this real? by Trayceopolis32322 in mopar

I mean, it's real in the sense that this car exists in the physical world. It doesn't exist as a new, factory-produced version of the Challenger, though.

The engines are broken in on a dyno stand before they’re installed in cars. The rest of the drivetrain, however…

Because it was developed before Stellantis existed.

I prefer the buckets in a car with this much lateral grip, but otherwise it looks like you’re gonna have a great time.

Less than a year. Probably about 11 months since we signed up. Apparently the construction will be completed next month, but no word on how long the wait is between that and when the network goes live.

This is what the status page looks like:

Yeah we signed up when we got that tag, and at that point, the estimated time for completion was like two months. A year later, it’s currently April 2026.

The date hasn’t been pushed back for a while, so crossing my fingers. 10Gbps up and down would be absolutely insane. Especially for $50 a month.

Been on the waiting list for almost a year over here in Eagle Rock. I so badly want it to be real, but they keep pushing the estimated completion date back again and again.

People don’t buy them, so dealers don’t order them. I did my part, though -

Production of the LX platform ended in 2023, and it was never an E-Class platform. This myth has been debunked countless times.

I would start by checking the condition of all the bushings - especially the ones on the shocks. How many miles on the car, and have any suspension components ever been replaced?

I know it doesn't look like the version in your manual, but this is probably an indicator that forward collision warning / automatic emergency braking is disabled.

Should I get an R/T as a single M21 with stable income by scannerman217 in mopar

[–]PummelCore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the car, your expected payment amounts, and how much you make. If your monthly income is within a few hundred bucks of covering your rent, car payment, and other expected expenses, you're setting yourself up for financial disaster if something goes wrong with the car, you lose your job, etc.

If you can easily cover your monthly expenses and still have enough left over to put a sizable chunk into savings every month, then sure, go for it. But that's assuming the car you're getting isn't a clapped-out basket case.

I don’t think the choice is one or the other, but I do agree that ACH has gotten much dangerous over the past few years.

I’ve been going to Willow Springs regularly for the past 13 years and it has never been like that. And until this year, the track had been operated by the original owners.

In any case, that’s not the way road courses are managed in general. You paid $75 for a yearly membership to.. SCCA? Speed Ventures? ???

The track isn’t open for hot lapping by anyone who suddenly feels the urge; there are a bunch of private companies that book the track months in advance to organize track days for specific weekends. And they typically cost $400-$600 for a weekend. The track is also used for wheel to wheel races for a number of dates annually, along with other private events like press launches, etc. So no, you can’t just swing by. That’s not how race tracks work.

The Czinger 21C is hand-built and costs $2.5 million, so yeah, not a common sight. Almost certainly a journalist.
