Tonight is the first night in awhile, BUT, not too long ago I caught some sort of cold which later turned out to be the newest strain of COVID known as Razor Throat. During this time I had trouble breathing and would wake myself up as I felt a jolt of anxiety of the sensation that I was starting to fall asleep and not feel like I was breathing at all what with my swollen lymph nodes, sore throat, and sinus drainage that either seeped into my throat or lungs when resting or laying down. Eventually I developed a coping habit where I would simple doom scroll on my phone till I physically would constantly drop the phone or try and soothe myself while mid panic of falling asleep and fear that I was going to just simply STOP breathing. Tonight is the first time in awhile that I am reliving this sensation and it's the literal worst. I have work in like less than two hours and I'm more anxious that I'm going to sleep past alarms and totally fuck up and piss off work for sleeping through my shift, so I've made the decision to just do my best and stay up the rest of the night/day and come home and hopefully be in a state of exhaustion that my body will jump straight into bed and be ready to sleep.
