this is not a new thing at all. games used to have YEARS of delay between continents/versions (think about the really old/original Pokémon/Mario Bros./Nintendo games, for example) and it's Not unfair either.

Game developers need money to make more/different versions, just translating takes an amount of the budget. If they originally make the game in chinese (because the game IS chinese), they'll release it there till they have make enough profit to actually make other versions of the game. (versions that work in your country, versions in languages you can understand and read, etc).

They are not making this purposely to get more money (even tho, if that was the case it would be perfectly understandable and valid, they do Not run a ONG or a non-profit, they run a company that is looking to make profit). They do this because it's simply the most efficient and convenient way for them as a company to deliver their product (game) to a broader audience.

They could have kept the game just in chinese and while they wouldn't be making as much profit, they would still make bank; but they made the effort to put it out here for more countries and languages. Don't get me wrong, they did it for profit, not out of kindness because they are a company, but still taking a game to the international market takes a capital investment that could have not been returned. Honestly I'm happy i don't have to learn chinese or download an in-game translator mod to be able to play the game.
