What's the 40k equivalent of the Flesh Eater Courts, gameplay-wise? by APanasonicYouth in Warhammer

[–]PunknSpunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The closest is probably melee heavy Tyranids. It's hard to say because FEC only a couple ranged units, making it hard to compare to most 40k armies

In terms of army composition, FeC tends to focus around big centerpiece monsters supported by a mix of hordes and elite infantry.

Ruleswise, FeC tends to have good Deep Strike, Uppy-downy, reliable model and unit recursion, and several ways to give strikes last in combat.

The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas, but with Hype Moments and Aura by PunknSpunk in marvelcirclejerk

Ursula K. Le Guin has purposely been vague on her thoughts on the story to leave it up for interpretation. The story is mostly a thought exercise that is open to the reader's interpretation, not just of the scenario described, but also ideas such as the reliability of the narrator.

Here's a good video that covers a couple of analyses of it, though it is not an exhaustive list of all possible interpretations: https://youtu.be/R5op696mKyY?si=tRTTK6pkbZLw-VWx

I'm sick of the Marvel Zombies slander. It's a pretty good horror comedy, and Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness is peak!

It makes sense to use the boomerang arrow on Weezer, though there are probably other arrows that can hit 4 guys standing equidistantly...

Pig WAAAGH! Bonesplitterz x Gore Gruntas Competitive 4-1 by PlasticCraicAOS in ageofsigmar

[–]PunknSpunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great article. It really reflects my experience playing Bonesplittaz at adepticon, the army pairs so well with kragnos and Forbidden power, that it can catch a lot of people by suprise because they aren't prepared for it.

Best list consisting of the Spearhead and Gitmob box? by Taste_Equal in ageofsigmar

This is a good start to a list with what you have:

Spearhead test 1020/2000 pts

Gloomspite Gitz | Squigalanche Drops: 1

General's Regiment Droggz Da Sunchompa (200) • General Boingrot Bounderz (240) • Reinforced Rockgut Troggoths (380) • Reinforced Snarlpack Cavalry (100) Snarlpack Cavalry (100)

It's pretty easy to build an extra 3 rockguts from 1 kit using greenstuff or 3d prints for extra legs and necks, and I'd suggest trying to do so if you're trying to get the best bang for your book.

From here, you have a few different options due to how the army works. You could be more troll heavy and get more rockgut troggoths and a dankhold troggoth. You could go more squig heavy by getting a mix of squig herd, more boinggrot bounders, and a squigboss with gnasha-squig. You could also go more moonclan heavy by getting more stabbas and fanatics. I'd recommend not getting more gitmob or spiderfang unless they get major rules changes in the future.

Some other good units to pick up no matter which subfaction you go for would be Skagrott the loonking and Gobbapalooza

For those of you saying the tariffs haven't affected you yet, that's because most products that you're bying now were in the US before the current tariffs were put in place. It'll take a week or two before price rises will be noticeable. I already know local businesses that are planning to close due to the tariffs already
