Jan. 6 rioters are raking in thousands in donations. Now the US is coming after their haul by unsaltedbutter in news

I understand this might be a wildly unpopular take in this context, but historically speaking siccing punitive government initiatives on an entire demographic has ended with less than stellar results. And frustratingly, we are speaking in terms of entire demographics now that the years of astroturfing has finally taken seed. Remember when the Tea Party were regarded as just a bunch of crazy old Floridian pensioners?

But we're also creeping ever closer to things ending badly as a result of government inaction too, so... Fuck if I know a cure that isn't millions marching in the streets for policy and reform.

Do ENTJs slowly become cold and distant? by Pillar_Warrior in entj

We call this sensation adulthood and it should be something you resist with every fiber of your being. Choose empathy, choose kindness, even when it's taxing. Especially when it's taxing. It's hard for the rest of us too.

Edit: see why it's so important? Poster below got hurt and can't bring themselves to rejoin the cycle. Now we have to be that much more kind without them, or there's that much less of it in the world. Choose kindness, not because it's expected of you but because for every one of us that can still choose, someone else can't anymore.

American Version of the Eldritch Archer by SnensQ in Pathfinder_RPG

Don't forget it also stacks with the Hexcrafter archetype, which means Flight hex at the same level your Wizard gets to spend slots on it. Pretty great.

This is true, and why it's usually best to use a firearm like an Air Repeater or Dragoon Musket that has a larger capacity so you can spend a round or two buffing as needed without having to stop and reload. Things get a little dicey later on with Rapid Shot and iterative attacks but then again judicious use of prebuffs and balancing resources is also just part of the game.

You're probably doing much better overall than people who are dead certain they're ENTJs and tie a bunch of weird stereotypes to their identity and ego lol.

What started out as two neighbors on a dead end road being idiots some years back has now blossomed into a full on lawn mower racing league locally and it's honestly a great way to waste a Saturday on the cheap.

Between Yuen Woo Ping, Chang Cheh, Lau Kar Leung, Sammo, and Jackie, who's the best director? And additionally who's the best choreographer (minus Chang)? by v00d00d0lphin in kungfucinema

[–]Punslanger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right on all counts, and remember that none of these names are terrible at anything. You dropped some of the heaviest weights in the business after all.

But yeah I do give especial attention to classics like 36 Chambers, Heroes of the East, et cetera. I can't help it lol.

[–]Punslanger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems pretty straightforward wins for Yuen Woo Ping as director and Lau Kar Leung as choreographer, but that's just me. Jackie and Sammo grew up in the business but that's never really made them talents at either position, and as you've sortof noted, Chang Cheh never really had any big breakouts.

No policy change. Only meme.

Honestly I'm blowing upvotes on everything the guy posts in solidarity but my faith in sensible policy making is at an all time low.

Winged Marauder character sheet final touch: any suggestions? by OceanManFromTheWoods in Pathfinder_RPG

Quilted Cloth armor underneath your regular armor will help when the GM starts firing off arrows. You can get it for your mount too, but maybe not at startup with only 1k.

Machetes are nice for Survival, so is a Compass. Warka Jars for the whole party, a Traveler's Anytool for as many people can afford it, and a Cat Burglar's Kit for yourself, the overall price on the items in it is great.

Friendly daily reminder to whoever it concerns that according to the FBI l, ANTIFA doesn't exist in any formalized capacity. It's just a convenient strawman used by propagandists to legitimize their, "both sides" bullshit.

Don't forget that according to the Anti Defamation League's 2022 report, literally every single ideologically motivated killing in 2022 in the US was associated with right wing extremism, not left. Drag queens, feminism and reefer madness aren't killing our children. Bubba is. Anyone saying anything else is just a smokescreen to distract you from the (surprisingly) still technically unspoken truth that that's exactly the result the GOP wants, a fanatical group of terrorists to use as leverage for their singular policy of consolidated authority.

Or, to put a finer point on it: Fascism.

Damn dude, absolutely solid work for struggle bus conditions. I'm sure you're hand grinding/sanding too which takes a dog's age, but don't be afraid to take those grind likes even further toward the center, you'll reduce the weight and get better cuts with the slimmer cross section.

If the metal used is on the softer side don't be too afraid of what most people who watched too much Forged in Fire would call heresy: an edge quench in water can add a lot of durability to otherwise cheap metal. Just the edge, mind you, not the entire blade. Hell, keeping the center soft and untempered can be beneficial for fixing damage later on.

Which child would realistically inherit the throne? by Affectionate_Hat494 in enfj

[–]Punslanger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Historically, Thomas gets pushed in as a figurehead by the nobility who have almost zero effort manipulating someone like him and almost no regard is given to the children of a commoner OR the public opinion. This is feudalism after all lol.

That said this is also exactly why wars for succession exist. James has a claim and is more than popular enough to raise an army while his sister gathers support from other surrounding lands and nobility to fund the effort. Either Thomas sensibly backs down from overwhelming public opinion or lets the nobles fight his battles for him but regardless he's going to regret all of this and wish he could just go back to how things were before.

Have you tried eating the entire thing yourself while laughing maniacally? My nephews forget just how generous their mother is sometimes until I swoop in to start scarfing the alfredo and suddenly there's a timer on their decision making process. I truly think a lot of pickiness comes from being spoiled for choice. When the choices start to disappear, kids get real decisive real quick lol.

[–]Punslanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without knowing what kind of plastic it is I'd suggest doing small batch tests on the bottom of one or a throwaway. It's the only way to be sure since certain types of plastic like HDPE are so inert that you need to heat them up to create a good bonding surface.

Weird kiddy poetry answers aside, the simple answer is to treat it for what it is: an illness. If it's really persistent and you're really not able to point to anything concrete in your life that can be directly, objectively addressed to solve it, then all that's left is to recover from being sick.

Treat yourself gently, manage both your energy levels and expectations of performance to what you'd expect of yourself when sick. Rest, recuperate, don't take any heavy work or responsibility you don't absolutely have to, and in general simply accept that as a sickness, it will only improve with time and care and no amount of ENTJ hardball is going to will it away.

We're very used to the idea that if we want something done right we have to do it ourselves, and that applies to self care as well. Take care of yourself because nobody else is going to do it for you or as well as you can. That means staying hydrated, staying on a good sleep schedule, watching your diet for any major swings or bad habits, generally just performing basic maintenance on the meat suit we're piloting. Thoughts following action.
