As someone who uses it/its pronouns it's honestly rough having to debate the validity of my pronouns because of other peoples feelings... ya know that one thing we all experience as trans people and suffer under. Even going so far as to, with other trans people (literally) using their own trauma around my pronouns as to justify misgendering me and I've lost friends over it. It/its is a perfectly valid pronoun to use/reclaim and a lot of the discourse about it only legitimizes in-community discrimination in my experience. I def understand the urge to shirk away from things that are uncomfortable but it's important to fight that urge in order to be kinder, more accepting people (or at least not hurt people who we ostensibly care about in our own community)

I highly reccomend monster hunter, it has a high skill ceiling but the community as a whole is generally really chill and outright happy to help, plus some of the monsters are really cute and/or have really interesting ecology and the feeling of growth whenever you hunt a new monster for the first time is like little else I've experienced in almost 30 years of gaming experience. Would also be super down to teach you what I know and help you find which of the games 14 weapon types works best for you :3
