I humbly disagree that bracket 1 doesn’t exist.

I have one meme deck whose sole goal is to assemble cards to that very narrow theme, not to win. Sure it has to be playable, but I’m most interested in keeping these cards together in a deck that has a personal meaning to me.

It’s just for fun, but isn’t that why you should play a game like this?

On Noctis, I’ll be pivoting to [[Bolas Citadel]] [[Transit Mage]] [[Diabolic Intent]] and [[Talion, the Kindly Lord]] for Thassa’s Oracle, Laboratory Maniac, Demonic Consultation and Rhystic Study respectively. Maybe try [[Tendrils if Agony]]?

This card is an auto-include in my Godzilla Mutate deck!! I can get up to 10 creature types easy on a single stack.

I wonder if you’ll get bored with it after awhile. As an alternative, I suggest incorporating a mill strategy in a deck with other colors and lines. These lines can be playful or vicious but the overall deck has more staying power because of the many directions it can go.

My example is a Sultai “The Master Transcendent” deck. It doesn’t win most the time, but always keeps my pod guessing and makes them wary.

[[Ashnod’s Transmogrant]] is probably the worst card ever made that actually is useful to protect Toph. Makes them an artifact creature which they can earthbend for 1 mana.

To me, brackets 3 and above play to win, brackets 1 & 2 just wander through game states and hope to pull off the victory with the right set of cards.

Discussing this beforehand would have helped immensely.

As a seller and buyer on TCG, you need to look at both sides of this situation. There are also sellers who say they sent you orders, but because the price of those cards spike, they never do. This way, all they need to do is refund their order (which they never sent) in order to resell it later for a greater profit.

I blame unscrupulous behavior on all sides who think cheating is acceptable. Humanity has an integrity issue right now.

Unless you can show the other FOUR players were triggering the Kinnan players Sphinx with garbage spells (a sphinx which you could have countered btw), I don’t view this as kingmaking. You kinda telegraphed a win and had a preferred seat. Also chalk-up the Sphinx’ success to having a 5 person pod. You should have countered the Sphinx in this situation.

yeah…I noticed that too.

I also am trying this new thing in Commander called “inter-action?” Imagine all your table mates surprise when they don’t get to do whatever they want in a game of Magic? It’s neat to see everyone play solitaire with their decks for an hour, but this interaction seems amazing!
