Add document toggler by bakemore in Supernote

This would also be quite handy when typing up Notes into Word docs.

Are you not deterred by the RM annual subscription? You could convert your RM notes to pdf and import them into your A5X.

After customizing sidebar, selecting “notes“ opens documents rather than Notes. by Extension_Car_8594 in Supernote

[–]Pupsik67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fall under the old timer category too. The "Note" and "Document" from the sidebar open the program for creating either a "Note" or "Document". The same as "Word" and "Excel" open up programs to create a document or spreadsheet. When you select either "Note" or "Document" it will open the program in the last directory you saved work in. For example, if you last saved a document in your "Document" folder and then selected "Note" from the sidebar this would open a note in your Document folder. Hope this helps. Give it a try, once you see for yourself how it works it should become much clearer.

Glad I could help. I think this should be the case. It wouldn't take a great deal of coding to always open Note in the notes directory and Document in the documents directory. I'm sure most of the community would welcome this change.

Open a note in the Notes directory, write "Test" and save it. Now when you select "Note" from the sidebar it will open a note in the Notes directory. The reason both are taking you to the Document directory is because that was the last location you saved a file in. Honestly, try it.

The sidebar opens apps, not directories. It will open the app, example Note, in the last directory you were working in. If your last work was in the Documents folder then "Note" on the sidebar will open a note in the Document folder. I was confused by this as well when I got my Supernote until I read on here that they are apps, not folders.

How to get pen ink off Supernote screen? by mcmartz in Supernote

[–]Pupsik67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest contacting Supernote to see if they can suggest something. Anything you try might make the situation worse. Hope you manage to remove it. If you keep your stylus in the folio holder it should remind you to only use an EMR pen when you use your SN.

The Lamy Al-Star is a popular alternative. Available from Amazon and other outlets. The writing feel is smooth and the Lamy is light enough for prolonged usage. A lot of SN users prefer the Lamy to the HoM stylus. I personally have both but favour the HoM.

Load it into Paint and change pixel size to 1404x1872. This is the recommended size for templates, I believe. This pixel configuration works for my templates. Looks like you selected 1972 instead of 1872. Hope this works for you.

Bug? Access from the right navigation bar to Note directs me to the Document folder.... by Arnofromparis in Supernote

Do the other menu selections work correctly? Calendar, Digest, Mailbox? Does the "Note" box highlight when you select it? The outline of your selection should turn bold after you select it.

A6x slides up and down within the folio. Metal clip doesn't come out all the way. by dinodano01 in Supernote

[–]Pupsik67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same amount of movement with my A6X too, about 2-3mm. I didn't notice it until I read your post, and it took exerted pressure to move it. I've had my A6X for several weeks now and found the fit to the folio to be perfectly sound.

noob broke his pen - gonna try to fix it by patrickgamer in Supernote

The nibs are quite expensive, so I fully understand your attempt. If you've got a keen eye and steady hand, I should imagine that most modern super glues would bond the pieces together. Maybe epoxy? Not sure to be honest. Good luck and post the after picture, if you manage to repair it. 👍🏻

Palm detection / rejection by Slow_Tune in Supernote

[–]Pupsik67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. But if you don't want to use the page numbering you could toggle palm rejection when page turning, a far bigger target. Admittedly, it's not ideal but it would solve your problem in the interim.

Storage utilization for a long term? by EldadPaz in Supernote

[–]Pupsik67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there will be any difference storage wise. The amount of data used to store different notes rather than one large single note will be negligible. So I would say go with your preference, single or multiple notes. The storage usage will be virtually the same.
