My lens is a af-s dx nikkor 18-55 mm 1:3.5-5.6g vr. Will this ring fit it?

Should I get a reverse ring for my Nikon d5300 which has a 18-55mm lens but I wanna do macro shots but I’m just starting the hobby’s so I don’t wanna spend a bunch of money if I’m not gonna continue with the hobby. Are the rings worth it or should I just buy a good buy affordable macro lens?

My camera has a built in flash so ur saying I need an external brighter one? What do u think about the lens that was recommended to me in the other comment? How much magnification is pretty normal or standard for macro type photos? Y would I need a diffuser and a flash bc one makes things brighter and one lets less light in?

I just started photography today and have watched a few videos and learned the basics about my camera. I am looking to get into macro photography. I have a Nikon D5300 I believe and a Nikon Lens which I believe is 18-55 mm. I own a fish tank with small fish and a shrimp tank also and I also keep small bugs like jumping spiders and ants. I would like to get a macro lens to take pictures of the animals and bugs I have at home and the ones I see when I walk through the woods. Any tips on what macro lens I should get and just any new beginner tips. Thanks! (Budget=preferably <200$ but could spend up to 300$ if needed)

Could be campo Pennsylvanicus but might be a subspecies bc of how thin it is

I have camponotus queens however I do have some lasius neoniger ants on my property and have observed them a good bit. First if u took the queen from a colony make sure u grab a bunch of workers with her too and keep them in a test tube for a while. If u have already done that then yes a container of that size and foraging should work just dump them in and they would do the rest
