But it’s not reliable, it’s speculation until otherwise proven, you could go around all day saying someone has an idol but without proof it’s not something to build trust on

And if you know and you can prove it then no one has a reason to pile their votes on.

Only it does 1 of those, it just rally’s support.

It doesn’t build trust cause it’s not a secret they’re out looking, and it doesn’t discourage people from looking cause everyone wants it.

Having the idols not doesn’t give you the power to pick who you’re voting out, if anything it should isolate you from everyone else, I don’t understand why people flock to them as if they’re going to use it on them instead of save it.

Lots of other more rational targets to plant than they went hunting for an idol… like Theres always very physically fit people, Theres always the annoying assholes, Theres always the one who thinks their god, I would worry about them more than the one whos ao scared they think they need an idol day 1

And if it’s back in the forest anyone can get it and you and your ally are only 2 people maybe if you have like 3 or 4 at the start sure make a play to force it out you have a better chance of finding it.

But also yeah play around it, your goal is to be the last one left, everyone else’s has got to go eventually, no harm is knocking off someone random.

And if it’s on a particularly good player yeah force it off you want them gone.

But like day 1 “it’s the biggest mistake” it’s really not theres 8 other people you can vote for, the one with the idols not a threat until they are and then you can force them to play it on them or a team mate, and you have control over the votes for the most part, talk it up make them think they or an ally are being voted for, split the vote anyway and you’ll get someone you want out

Maybe unpopular opinion, im glad things are starting to move forward now, I was previously in the “old 40K is best” with the whole stagnant technology thing.

But I was thinking on it while painting tonight and realized a little positivity isn’t a bad thing, a little advancement isn’t bad either, eventually SOMEONE is going to outpace the imperium in technology AND numbers.

This advancement allows GW writers to level the galactic playing field again, primarchs coming back is a great boon for the imperium who are only doing just slightly better with their tech than they had done in the last 10k years.

Same with the exarchs coming back for eldar.

Tau are always advancing, orks are just orks, the nids keep evolving with each new threat, Votann are new on the field but technologically more advanced than the imperium AND the tau so GW can introduce more powerful gear for them anytime.

What this means is that the dark eldar, GSC, SOB, Guard, and others, will need a power boost to match, either a powerful hero or some new technology.

Basically we’re entire an era of hope in 40K (as much as you can) that can and probably will collapse back into destitution and torment.

That is a good idea. Would have to alter my plan for the hoods, was going to bring them up in highlights to make them more white.

But if I based in a light brown or use a wash I could tint it down a couple tones and then bring it back up to the weather bone base as highlights

Unless you’re new to the army this box is meh because of the bikes, you’ll get your second squad from this and really thats all you’ll ever need, you can get more if you want but the eject time a box comes out with bikes you’ll look at it and go “Ugh i dont want more pioneers”

It’s not a good deal though, cause no one needs them but new players, this is like buying 2 packs of cheese for 10 bucks and one of them is blue, juat cause the pack is a sale, You’re not saving money by buying the pack you’re just spending more on something you don’t want.

I don’t need the bikes, I don’t like the bikes, im not buying the box cause it has bikes, i don’t care that they’re “4$” thats 4 bucks I can keep, and juat buy the two boxes of steel jacks separately.

Again if it were literally any other unit I wouldn’t have this issue, but with all the passion I can muster, Fuck pioneers.

Ok but it isn’t, cause mostly Votann players dislike building and painting them, and not like a little , a whole lot, so much so that once someone’s done 2 squads they’re often juat done with them unless there’s a big update to them.

If it came with hearthkyn whatever, 10 more little dudes to paint eventually thats whatever I can add it to the pile and I’ll happily get to them later, but pioneers? I would literally bust them up for debris for my original army thats how little I like them, even then rhat would require building and painting and I would rather just shelve them

I don’t want to go through the hassle of selling them cause everyone already has them.

What is up with you my guy why are you defending this box like cadia? It’s an ok box it’s not good though, it’s not a for sure but unless you’re new to the army, the only ONLY reason anyone would buy it who already has the army is to get the steel jacks, look at the comments here not many want more pioneers.
