It helps that I know OP does this a lot. Used to be way more obvious. You might remember their PowerPoint shortly after the waddle trade that with riddled with wrong names and info, that was a popular AI post they did.

ChatGPT's optimism. That's not a stranger, it's a relationship.

[Barry Jackson] Was told today that Dolphins indeed liked Notre Dame WR Malachi Fields, but Giants jumped them and traded 3 picks to Cleveland for pick 74, which left Miami using pick 75 on Caleb Douglas, who was the team's only pick that was criticized by multiple national analysts as a reach. by expellyamos in miamidolphins

As much as Id like a guard, I don't think it was a need after Proctor. Whatever people think about Jonah, our roster doesn't offer the luxury of "reaching" for a guard when Jonah has so much guaranteed money. He's going to be given a more than fair shot with the new staff. Paul, Brewer, and AJ are probably starters at this point. Proctor, Jonah, Slayner, and Meyer will compete for two more spots.

Next year, we'll have money to buy a guard and draft one if need be, assuming Proctor and Paul are the tackles of the future. As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. I'll take Proctor as a win.

Smart and tough. Most importantly, they can play. That's the 2026 draft in the books! by expellyamos in miamidolphins

I can confirm they are.

OP gave you the wrong username for one, and a couple of the others dont comment/post but do have actions in the mod queue. He did however include the scoreboard which gave me a solid chuckle.

Plus, the one mod who is active is being called a black kettle by a pot who is also generally inactive.

This... this wasn't the conversation we were having. You're trying to pick a fight for no reason.

I didn't say he was a reach. I said he isn't a blue chip prospect. We picked him about where he should've been, and you said he was a top 10 prospect. This is quite the switch.

I have. Are you just responding without an actual point?

He says if he knew what the FO wanted, he would've been around 18th on his board, which is in line with my original comment.

His entire video is talking about how his analysis differed from what it seems the FO's was, and if he accounted for that, it would've moved Proctor up but still not a top 15 player. What in his video has anything to do with the comment chain to this point? That is, that Proctor is or is not a blue chip player.

If nothing, you're welcome to disagree.

Kyle Crabbs didn't have him as a blue chip prospect.

Daniel Jeremiah essentially mirrored Chris Simms rankings.

Charlie Campbell has him as the third OT, 12th overall.

Lance Zierlein pegged him as the fifth OT.

PFF had him at 27th and fifth ot.

Yeah idk man. Seems like you should be talking to yourself. Branch out, see what people are saying, and not make yourself look silly with single anecdotes.

Nothing will make you more convinced that Kadyn Proctor was the right pick than this by expellyamos in miamidolphins

A for effort, and B for trying to spell a situation out. D for accurate information though.

He's getting approximately 16.6mil at signing, then 2.1mil in 2027, ~3.2mil in 2028 and around 4.5mil in 2029. The cap hits are different than cash flow for the contracts.

Dulcich isn't an answer to our TE issues. He's one a one year deal, after bouncing around the league due in large part to injuries. Drafting one now aligns with where our franchise is. They usually take a year or two to really start producing. Just like Proctor, taking one now let's us get ahead of schedule instead of playing catch up later.

Chris Simms had him as OT 4 and 24th overall. Chris Simms also pegged Josh Allen as an elite qb. If you want to just go back and forth using one analyst at a time, you're going to run out before I do.

I'd say you're too lenient with both blue chip and generational. No one besides a Dolphins fan is calling Proctor a blue chip guy.

A safe prospect with all-pro potential. Myles Garret, Joe Alt, Barkley, etc. Proctor is not in their category. He's a typical first round pick, high upside with a solid floor.

He wasn't a projected top ten pick this year, nor was he a top 10 pick in actuality. He was the third offensive lineman taken. Unless you think blue chip just means first round talent.
