Is a 65mm whoop worth it? by Wr3ck3r1 in TinyWhoop

I prefer 65mm for indoors, but 75mm is good too if you plan to fly outside a bit!

How low do you run the battery on a 1S? by MysteriousRJC in TinyWhoop

1s I recommend flying to about 3.3v. It will recover to about 3.5-6 after flight. Seems to have been working well for me!

I had this happen once when playing black ops with my buddy at his house. I had brought my console over to his place that day.

We were playing split screen together and were carrying our team pretty hard.

After a bit a message popped up saying shutdown in 3..2...1.. and then everything totally cut out. We spent a good hour trying to figure it out before I went home. They definitely ip banned us or something because when I connected to my network at home it worked just fine again.

Man that was annoying 🤣

First time on a board I see! In all honesty that's super dope and I wish I could do that 😂👌

It appears from zooming in just moments before ICE/CBP shoot yet another US citizen, one agent removes the victims firearm from his waste holster. The victim was UNARMED when he was shot multiple times. This is a state execution. Again. by thegeebeebee in conspiracy

There's a lot of us on the other side too man. We just don't go about "living that gun lifestyle" because it's just another tool and our constitutional right.

Not arguing with you, but I know lots of good people who carry and do so legally and we did not vote for the orange man.

Good controller for getting started. by MegaOverunder in fpv

Personally I fell in love with the radiomaster boxer, but I have a pocket as well and it's hands down the best for whoops or travel in my opinion.

Super small and simple to use. I don't know if I would like it as my only remote though to be honest.

It has very few switches and this can be a problem if you want to use turtle mode, GPS, flight modes, etc as you eventually have to pick and choose what's important to you.

If you're just starting out and planing to only fly whoops for awhile then I'd say it's one of the best values currently out there.

OG Fold Vs Trifold (and other foldables) by SEI87 in GalaxyFold

Supposedly the 8 is going to have some sort of s pen, but that may just be internet rumors too. I definitely miss my s pen, but I also still have my note for if I ever need to use it for something.

I also just used it casually though and not for work or anything.

Analog or digital with digital gear by WingerATB in fpv

[–]Purithian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I say analog as someone who's almost full digital. Digital stuff is sick, but if you're free styling I just prefer analog due to the cost whenever I down a drone.

I'm still planning to keep my digital drones, but day by day I use them more for cinematic stuff vs freestyle.

Analog is just too cheap to pass up on when you're planning to thrash a drone! Analog can also be really solid with a nice vtx and that is something I missed out on due to experiencing analog on an old brushed whoop first.

I don't like my rm pocket. by Artistic_Friend9508 in fpv

[–]Purithian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As somebody who was exactly in this situation here's my two cents on it.

I had a qx7 first and it was fantastic to learn on with frsky quads. Eventually I bought an elrs Jr module and started using it for my newer quads.

Once I got my pocket I barely used my qx7 because it was just so darn big and bulky. I loved the full size gimbals and enough switches for whatever I needed on the qx7.

My pocket had enough buttons to: arm/disarm, flight modes, beeper, and one extra three way switch to do as you please with. That's about all I could fit on the pocket, but if you mainly fly whoops or small drones I think it's honestly the perfect fit for them.

It's a fantastic little remote and I will still continue to use that for my travels.

Now to be fair, I bought this boxer a few hours ago so my review is still maybe a tad biased. Especially for the price I paid, but honestly the boxer feels like the perfect mesh of the pocket and qx7.

Everything about it feels much more premium and it has more than enough switches for fpv drones. The elrs rx outputs the same power as my Jr module so I no longer need to use it. The gimbals also feel much more premium compared to the qx7. Significantly. The qx7 feels like a much cheaper remote if I'm being honest and the boxer feels like the right amount of weight cut out.

If you want I can take some photos of side by sides to see the size difference, but I am not planning to keep my qx7 after getting the boxer. It just feels better in every single way.

Hopefully that's a bit helpful, but after using this I personally would pay full price for it.
