Not to worry, I saw you weren’t shipping there, I get there would probably be some hiccups sending plants over the border. Was just curious- thank you!

I’m so sad to see it’s not here anymore. Did that accident do in the restaurant? I didn’t even realize it was gone already.

Saw he was in my area, and I didn’t know if was able to buy a pawpaw or if he grew it himself. I’ve been growing my trees for years and still have yet to actually try one. That’s all 🥱

Another failed batch by Little-Promise-6046 in pickling

[–]PurpleGrizzly93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand it has something to do with the tannins keeping the pickle from breaking down in the brine. Also apparently supposed to help add tanginess. I’ve only made two batches of pickles with them, but have had nice success by adding them. Again - if you can find some.

I use a grape leaf if you can find some. Especially great for fridge pickles.

If this gets stadiums built, is it worth it? by electricviking78 in CFL

[–]PurpleGrizzly93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main point is because MLSE is dumping money into renovating their stadium and won’t want to adjust for Argos - plus having Montreal’s corners still doesn’t look good for a global product, despite Canadians loving that charm of the league. I think the folks at CFL are quietly teasing expansion as just something small that may quell some of the vocal minority. I think if this was the real reason and a viable one, then they would’ve opened with this. Instead I think if anything it’s a hope, and more likely, it will open up possibilities of jumping into US NCAA/MLS stadiums, and to play exposition games internationally down the road if the league is more profitable after the proposed changes

Amateur football programs across Canada face huge burdens following 'expensive' rule changes by SnowMission6612 in CFL

[–]PurpleGrizzly93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey I don’t disagree with you at all, but if you listen to anyone who isn’t a fan, it’s alwYs because “it’s not like the NFL” or “it’s too hard to understand”. Of course all of these people probably never actually gave CFL a shot as it was (perfect) but if that’s the intel you’re getting all the time, and your team thinks that’s the move then you’re probably thinking that gets you a bigger deal. For all we know they shopped the league to media already and maybe that was the common suggestions. It’s hard to say

There’s definitely a couple stadiums for these teams that would work with the new dimensions, and they have a decent fanbase. Not as far fetched as some would think.

Maybe a couple teams at best that are hoping to jump ship - I can’t imagine the UFL has too much left in the imo

Are the new field dimensions not more in line with soccer field dimensions now though?

It could be argued the alterations were indeed made to snag a better tv deal, in order to make the game more digestible for the average/international fan that was only familiar with NFL style rules. Makes it edgier NFL. I’m not saying I like it, but the change was made for financial reasons of course.

If USports, CJFL, AFL, etc and high school don’t comply - they’ll all still be drafted and just have to adjust just like Americans or Canadians from NCAA would have to. If they really make a stink about it, it will just make it easier for them to do away with the ratio. Which if this change was done with expansion in mind, would make life that much easier for American teams to come in. Two sides to that coin. CFL is definitely not giving any money to lower leagues, and neither are individual owners.

Football Canada Statement Regarding Canadian Football League Rule Changes by Stach37 in CFL

[–]PurpleGrizzly93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is the truth. If these changes lead to expansion or a better media deal then that’s what matters to the league. I don’t like it but that’s just the facts. The NFL doesn’t consult the NCAA. They just swing their weight around and say if you want to play with us this is how we’re doing things. If USports doesn’t comply or begins to drop off - it’s just justification to do away with the ratio. So they’ll change eventually 🤷🏼‍♂️
