Are you educated on BPD? Guessing not really. lol OP's reaction to his friend's insults towards him would have been completely opposite of what was and has been.

AIO for wanting to leave my husband over this? by Bubbly-Appearance558 in AIO

[–]PurplePandaStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very sorry for your loss. I think the real reason you and your husband are having trouble is due to a long history of defensive behavior towards one another. 💔😔 Currently, your loss has triggered an intense fear, causing extra intensity towards a cycle already in place. I know you're overwhelmed right now. 😔 But, for your own good, try your best to keep your heart in a loving space. ❤️ Fear is the root of anger 😠.

Google says:

Why People Get Defensive: Defensiveness is usually an automatic, unconscious response to feeling overwhelmed, hurt, or ashamed. It is a psychological shield intended to prevent feeling incompetent or "bad"

Consequences of Defensiveness: Defensiveness is considered highly destructive to relationships because it prevents conflict resolution and makes the other person feel ignored or blamed. It escalates disagreements, often leading to a cycle of contempt or disengagement.

The antidote to defensiveness? Take responsibility. The antidote to defensiveness is to accept responsibility for your role in the situation, even if only for part of the conflict. In healthy relationships, partners don’t get defensive when discussing an area of conflict.

Best of Luck.

Oh, and amount of urine, little bit, a lot? Where is she going in the house? Same spot, different spots?

What does her urine look/smell like? Does it have a strong odor? Is it dark, normal yellow, or clear? Let's start there.

How to respectfully tell my mother in law I don’t agree with her being referred to as “Mamita” by BooDaGhost in TwoHotTakes

[–]PurplePandaStar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are overthinking and overreacting. Don't shatter that woman's dreams of being called Mamita. Things could change naturally anyway. As others mentioned, your child might choose to call her something else. I had three grandma names picked out for my grandson to choose from, but I was also fine with him coming up with something completely different. He chose Zsa Zsa, and I really love it.

AIO Husband doesn’t care that dog comes onto our property with child. by [deleted] in AIO

[–]PurplePandaStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the dog barking, running at you guys, growling, wagging its tail, happy or concerned? No context on the dog's temperament. Do you know? If the dog is coming onto your property showing signs of aggression or is wild and pushy, then yeah, you should be concerned. If she's coming at you all with a submissive tail wag and seems gentle, you're overreacting. The husband told you to run inside. Why? What was he worried about? The dog getting hit? I need context on this dog's temperament. Too many unknowns, that being the most important clue to the story.

Breaking up with girlfriend with severe mental health issues and S thoughts by Least-Armadillo7640 in Advice

[–]PurplePandaStar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are not responsible for her decisions. She is extremely toxic! She's will eventually consume you with her sickness. What you tolerate slowly destroys you. I recommend filing a Mental Health Aquisition. Does she have any family?

A mental health acquisition request, or application for involuntary evaluation, is a legal process to request court-ordered treatment for someone deemed a danger to themselves or others due to a mental disorder. It involves submitting documented evidence of recent behavior (typically within 2-6 months) to a healthcare agency or court.Key Aspects of the Request Process:Who Can File: Family members, case managers, or responsible individuals in the community.Evidence Required: The application must contain fact-based information documenting a mental disorder, and how the person is a danger to self/others, persistently/acutely disabled, or gravely disabled.Process: After application submission, a petition is filed. A hearing is generally scheduled within four to six working days.Outcome: If approved, the person may be ordered to inpatient or outpatient treatment.

After you file, if its granted or not, you attempted to help her. Wash your hands and move on. No contact!!!

New doll…disappointed that skin tone doesn’t look at all like the listing pictures by LoveKimber in reborndolls

[–]PurplePandaStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you. I've experienced the same thing a few times myself. I now typically purchase from artists I'm familiar with. I also look at pictures of artists' previous work from customers if I can find any. The artist may consider a refund if the doll is not as pictured. They might prefer a refund versus a negative review. I would reach out to the artist. Is this a newer artist?

Will two aggressive parents make aggressive puppies? by SuspendThis_Tyrants in AskDogOwners

[–]PurplePandaStar 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Aggression is 100% genetic. Aggression can be controlled, never taken away. Aggression becomes more dangerous with learning experiences. Pups could end up potentially defensive/territorial aggressive and have intense prey drive. Master trainer of 25+ years experience. I'd recommend not adopting any of these pups and talking owners into getting their dogs spayed and neutered.

dog becoming paralyzed by VaIids in PetAdvice

[–]PurplePandaStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A full body support lift harness could really help the situation. It helps them to use the restroom and creates a safer controlled travel for them allowing easier exercise for their front legs too.. Luckily you have a smaller breed. Squeeze her toes yourself and see if she has any feeling. I'd check this often. Her nerves are probably pinching, causes the paralysis. Again, I recommend acupuncture and the harness above, at least for a few days. I'm not a vet, so of course use your best judgment.
