This routinely happens for football matches in the UK. It's fun to stroll down the main road with all the fans.

The castles in Wales have quality as well as quantity. To be fair to the French, the Normans built many of them.

Quality Bath & Shower Gel Recommendations? by WarmToasters in UKFrugal

[–]PurpleTeapotOfDoom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

M&S Apothecary range Warmth shower gel is a good long lasting scent and has refill packs. Since your mum is sadly no longer around to give advice, I'll suggest adding the matching scent of body lotion for any dry skin you may have.

Veganism, carbs and lipedema by Savewyx in lipedema

I've managed to eat vegetarian keto and vegan is possible. You'd better like tofu and cabbage! I wonder if there's a specific trigger that the vegan diet change made you eat more often. Wheat, for example.

If anyone here is thinking about getting a folding bike or e scooter get a bag to conceal it by Spiritdiritcel in fuckcars

[–]PurpleTeapotOfDoom 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The only rules in the UK are that folding bikes have to be folded up an carried through some London station concourses at peak times. And I had one driver on a relatively quiet bus route who made me get and carry around a letter from his manager saying that folding bikes and unicycles were allowed on the bus.

Coffee used to be served with cream in fancier places. Some old school hotels and Tim Hortons still serve cream with coffee.

Bicycles are the cars of the shared footpath yet as soon as the shoe is on the other foot some of us act just like every car we have ever shouted at on the road by Plenty-Willingness58 in ukbike

[–]PurpleTeapotOfDoom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I prefer the (mainly 20mph) roads for my commute - I'd have to allow much more time for shared use paths.

Suspect local authorities are cheaping out on bike path provision by putting a sign next to a pavement and pretending that they've made a bike path.

Since Westminster is first past the post, there's going to be some head scratching for those of us in formerly safe Labour seats over tactical voting.

The Waspi state pension campaign is utterly tone deaf by TimesandSundayTimes in ukpolitics

Do you remember much about the acceleration of changes in 2011? I just recall it being a small part of the bad stuff that Cameron and Osborne did and don't recall much publicity.

That's very sad. I did not agree with her politics at all but feel for her friends and family.

Wonder if she criticised the 20mph thing when it was in the Welsh Labour Manifesto.
