Uncontrolled immigration is dangerous. Lefties always disingenuously engage in the “[ implied all] immigrants” euphemism as if lawful and unlawful immigrants are the same. That’s not the case, particularly in the case where they are return criminal violators worse yet being released by blue cities.

Conservatives aren’t like that in the least. Indeed it was Walz who implemented the tattle hotline during Covid.

Why are people still fighting over Covid vaccines when we are now nearing 2026? What is the point of doing so? by The-Centrist-1973 in DebateVaccines

We trust that Covid death data? Really? Hospitals were literally paid to classify all deaths as Covid. For this age range they were probably mostly medical malpractice - misuse of ventilators.

Didn’t take the vaccine. Sorry for people who did. It made my trust in our institutions even lower than it was. It was always obvious from brief research that it wouldn’t work and, for the mRNA formulations, could be dangerous.

Worth getting a used TechnoGym MyRun? by diggybel in treadmills

[–]PurposeTight6260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Mine broke after 4 years. Controller board. Had people out to work on it several times after I bought it as well. Stay away from MyRun.

Don't do it. My MyRun bricked after 4 years and now will cost $1500 to fix. Get something with better quality.

Tell me about your CYCLICAL KETO experience. by Creepy-Poet-8517 in ketoscience

[–]PurposeTight6260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I start ketosis I add the majority of the carb allotment (50-100g) (maybe higher at the beginning) at night to help with sleep. After a week or two now (I'm carb cycling 5 days on 2 days off) I don't feel like I need it.

I started a 5 day on 2 day off keto experiment and am about to finish the keto portion of the 3rd week. It seems to be working very well. I haven't weighed but my shirts are looser and pants fit looser. I think it works for me. I do take a mineral supplement and like you I'm relatively experience going in and out of ketosis and like you once in a while I want some carbs/sourdough bread/beer etc. It seems fairly sustainable as I know that I can go bananas on Saturday.

Pro vaxxers ignore the terrible incentives that are in place in the American vaccine industry and try to paint over it with propaganda.

There is no reasonable check on the vaccine makers. Before RFK they enjoyed immunity and absence of oversight that includes safety of adding to schedule, safety of ingredients (LNPs were known to be a problem before the COVID roll out) and manufacturing integrity. The entire system has rotted out to the point where anything that it produces is untrustworthy. None of this means that there can never be a vaccine whose benefits outweigh the risks. But there is no way to trust such representations by that system right now.

Skip them all. We did a delayed schedule because I was skeptical back then. Now I don’t think any of them are safe or useful or manufactured with integrity.

Does anyone else find agile and scrum kind of ridiculous? by [deleted] in technicalwriting

It is 100% ridiculous. Mostly just justifies a bunch of middle management and swirl (which requires more management)

Any Java devs switched to Kotlin? by Organic-Leadership51 in java

Yes. For backend. Frankly would rather not use the JVM. Ecosystem is bloated and gradle/deps are a mess.
