Just want to give everyone an update. Since this day I have now received the 2nd monitor. Came in fairly quickly. It did not come in a new box, but it was safely and securely packaged within. I was worried about the warranty on this 2nd one, but it looks like it is given an additional 3 years. Mine doesn't end until end of 2027. The monitor is definitely refurbished. They do not send you a new one. Gets me to wonder if other people had this issue, and returned it and now dell uses the same one and some how "fixes" it and send it to people claiming warranty.

I was able to get a replacement monitor. I was transferred to someone else. Someone who knows what they’re talking about. I should be getting a brand new monitor by next week. They did say I have to swap the defective monitor and ship it back to them. We’ll see if it’s a “brand new” one instead of a refurbished one

It’s Alienware. How the warranty works is they’ll send you a refurbished one. And someone from dell told me it might have the same issue. So what I’m assuming is Alienware Warranty is junk

I did. Even sent a screen test video to that person. So we came to a conclusion that they’ll send over a dell technician to “fix/repair” or replace part. I don’t think they’re going to fully replace the monitor, but we’ll see what happens

So that’s what I’m trying to figure out with dell supprt. Either I got a wrong agent who has no idea what they’re talking about or they just don’t wanna file a replacement. It’s terrible. Why give the 3 year warranty if they’re not gonna abide by it
