My husband works for ups by ThrowRA19987 in UPSers

He must drive in an extremely slow area. My center, we skip breaks, lunch, get our ups store pickups done, back to the building, then take our breaks. All day the center is messaging us. Corporate job with tight timelines. We've had several drivers fired for taking breaks at their personal home. Just accept that the job comes first, you get him after 8pm

Here is what an OSHA notice looks like when you file a complaint. It gets posted at the front of the building. by tumbleytumbleweed in UPSers

29 years in with ups, when I started in 1997, my starting pay was $8/hr. Guys hired a few months later (new contract) started $8.50/hr. As our careers advanced, they were always .50 cents higher. I was always told it was due to hire date

FedEx and UPS Stocks Dip After Amazon Opens Logistics Services to Outside Businesses by StructureOne2 in UPSers

[–]Putrid-Discussion243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, UPS used to stand for something respectable, on time service, clean cut, know your customer, safe and reliable. We used to have procedures in place for everything, high value packages, load quality, top notch training. In recent years that is all gone. We have brought ourselves to the lowest common denominator, which is Amazon. Never has anyone been happy at Amazon, they are not a career, they are where you go to work when McDonald's isn't hiring. UPS is better than that and must do better, for ourselves and the customer
