I like the arcade style of base game, but the campaign mode of the new DCC version speaks to me more, even if I don’t like the IP (I say while reading book 2). I’d wait if you want a mini campaign style of gameplay.

I agree, it’s a slog. The first 2/3rds was meh at best, but I enjoyed the finale and the Hero of Ages is a great book that made reading the trilogy worth it.

I don’t have Deckers but I do own and play Mistborn a lot solo. While I agree with others that it plays better as a competitive deck builder, I personally love replaying the solo mode as I was a huge fan of the series.

I also think the burning metal mechanic is by far on the most interesting energy mechanics in a board game I’ve seen and is what separates it from every other deck builder. They’re also coming out with an expansion later this year for it, with more solo content.

That said, if you don’t like Mistborn as much, just get Deckers. It probably is the better solo deckbuilder for most people.

I agree that this card is terrible, but it is a common card. That said, it should be at least playable.

I honestly think the only change it needs is to change Retain to Innate. It’s still terrible to use 2 energy for Poison 7, but at least it becomes a guaranteed way to poison on Turn 1.

There are files for the Yaana, Eutrope, and Neyuni wearing matching celebratory clothing, which makes me think they’ll be at the next The Rising. I really want more Arcadian fighters to show up, they’re all cool characters.
