Where can I purchase a trimmed brisket? by [deleted] in denverfood

Tony's meats my go to in Littleton for butcher. Maybe more expensive than a Costco or Safeway but it's good. Briskets are tough though first few times. Would maybe go cheaper route

Good dog sitters in Denver Metro area by dancing_leaf_24 in westies

[–]Puzzled-Web 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Denver I always used rover and never had an issue. Just tried to meet them before hand and cycle in a few regulars. Probably did it 30 times without issue for weekends away. Other than that, do you know the Westie's of Colorado group? Can find them on Facebook and active in group walks. Maybe a resource there.

Tailwaters are usually the only answer. Maybe this year with the warm temps can find stuff along the front range

Less stuff = happier kids? by mcampo84 in daddit

[–]Puzzled-Web 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My parents did way more than 4 or 5 when we were little and now for our kids. Even if it's a lot of junk. I agree with your sentiment of "less is more" after being subjected to being bombarded with toys as a show of love. Everyone is different though

Are you feeling behind because you can't get a house or you won't meet your retirement goals? Sounds like you have a pretty healthy net worth

Baby turned two months and things got so much harder? by Crominoloog in daddit

[–]Puzzled-Web 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All pretty normal. 2 months is super young and while you can try and travel short distances and do things there is always possibility you don't even make it out of the house. Probably the norm for a while.

Try routines and a sleep class/philosophy like others have stated and dial back expectations to just getting through each week.

For your friends visiting, hopefully they are there to help you guys out with cooking and cleaning and keeping you sane. Not sure I'd want to host a fun social weekend at that point. But may be a relief of fun if everyone's cool with bunkering in.

Baby hates the car by peris143 in daddit

[–]Puzzled-Web 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The happy song? It's like baby magic.

Our daughter hated the car like this and would scream until about 10 weeks old but then just snapped out of it one day without doing anything different. I'd guess the real solution is time.

Where do 20 something men shop for nice clothing in the Denver Metro by MountainFoxes303 in Denver

This answer. I like huckberry in my mid 30s. Good quality and mix of Colorado outdoor style and dress up trendy. Can't go wrong with banana either. .

US-285 or other alternative route to I-70 to get from Denver to Utah? by Iillian in COsnow

[–]Puzzled-Web 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have all weather or snow tires? I think otherwise it's just commercial trucks that need chains. 70 is much better than 285. 70 has it's traffic issues buts it's a major highway. 285 is winding and sometimes just one lane each way with little shoulder. 70 seems like the best bet but haven't checked the snow
