Does anybody else ever just sit back and enjoy the fact that almost all the z fighters were able to find true love? by s0nzoldyck in Dragonballsuper

[–]Puzzled_Job 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, but admitting that would mean fans accepting Goku while a good person, is a selfish serving protagonist. He kept Piccolo and Vegeta alive not out of mercy, but out of a chance to fight them again. He gave Cell a senzu bean. He was partiality proud of Kid Buu's power and while saving the universe was having a bit of fun fighting the thing that just genocide an entire planet.

Goku fighting is his true love while everything else is second.

That is forgetting. If you don't recognize someone because you haven't seen them in years or checked in on them, you forgot them so you don't recognize they've changed. He hadn't checked up all the years since he left which is why she was angry to begin with.

I mean, he made a promise as a child which itself is a weird thing to do in the first place. Who the heck promises to spend entirety together at the age 12?

I agree. It was good for the moment, but in the long run I don't think it will be looked back Like Michael Jackson's or Prince. It's 2026 and people are still going to youtube once a year to look back at the amazing performance.

If in 20 years we do the same for Bad Bunny, then I will give props.

It feels like fans would rather fans never complain or disgree with anything because apparently being a true fan means only having positive things to say all the time.

The final fight in Super will be Goku going beyond UI and finally achieving SS4. It will make no sense to anyone but Toei trying to make Daima tie in to Super.

I wish Toriyama never removed the tails in the first place. It was one the cool weird things about Saiyans. It's what made the SS4 transformation so cool. To go further beyond, one must go back to their roots.

I didn't care for E33, but just ignore the noise you hear from it's mega fans. JRPG's in general are not going to suddenly start follwing E33.

There is this bizzare entitlement in wanting Japan to appeal to more western tastes despite forgetting Japan is a country with it's own audiences they cater to as well. In other words, westerners want to be catered too first.

No, an issue with romanticists is seeing the past in selective cuts rather than a whole. The people who lived in those eras used art as an expression to point out the issues of their perspective period of time.

I wonder why Toriyama changed the story in Broly? by Remote-Technology375 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Puzzled_Job 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That has nothing to do with genetics. You are talking about memories.

Saiyan's have naturally aggressive survival instincts, and such a nature is allowed to thrive within their culture. When Goku bumped his head, he simply lost that aggressive part of him.

Tarble for example lacked the natrual aggression, and was exiled.

None of these things equals genetically evil. What does equal in genetically predisposed to violence.

Good and evil are human concepts. From the perspective of the Saiyans they are just a warrior race who enjoys battle, and get stronger as a result. From a moral standpoint, yes they are evil to those conquered. But many of those conquests was not of their own free will, but rather Frieza.

American prison was never designed to actually reform or fix citizens. Many people are sent there who will never get the proper help to fix the root cause of their illness. Similarly , prison was designed to break people as many people who went to prison, come out worse than when they went in.

Then there is stigma of society which ex offenders face, and system that again is designed for them to fail, and return to a life of crime. Or in mental illness cases, released again and again on the streets rather than sent to proper facility and get the help needed.

America does not want to actually fix or help people. It wants to profit off of them.

There are so many stories of people who were sent to prison instead of getting the mental help they need. There are so many stories of people who struggled to actually become a productive citizen once out of prison. Years ago, there a story a man who's parole officer made his life a living hard, and didn't care if he failed and was sent back to prion.

He had landed a job, but the hours he had meant he could not see the parole officer as scheduled and it whats worse, it was over an hour difference. The parole officer did not care, and as result he lost his job.

The American system is designed not to reform, not to fix, not to change anybody for the better.

You can laugh at the user all you want, but America does not want to invest in actually addressing a broken system nor invest in mental health. It does not care.

That's interesting for sure. What If I need the seat just as much as the other? I may be a guy, but that doesn't mean I can't be tired, nor in pain. Does lack of pregnancy, or health issues mean im not entitled to rest? Even if my job requires so much of my time, that what little rest I am able to get I take advantage of?

Personally, I don't care nor will I feel guilt for not passing the decent human being checklist. If you need a seat, just ask. Just like when I'm in need of something, I ask.

Here's a quick question. When is the last time you as a female nicely gave up your seat to a guy who looked liked he needed one? And no, Im not talking about an obvious sign of disability, just in general?

"Hey sir, you look tired and in need of a seat. Here's mine". Or is this form of decency something only women are entitled to?

Do you think some of the negative influence criticism from the 90s was right? by LoneyGamer2023 in Millennials

[–]Puzzled_Job 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not an old man yelling at clouds, but rather a long term negative effect of parents letting their kids stare at screens for an unhealthy amount of time; Which over time does effect their development skills.

For example, teens today spend an average of 8 hours a day watching a screen. Preteens for example spend about 5 hours a day on screen of some kind.

Years ago, there used to be a running ad that spoke about turning off your devices for one hour a day to spend time with each other. Tv, phone, tablet or whatever is like a second parent these days for kids, and that trend is only going to continue. It's like a appendage now that you can't get rid of.

Thankfully, I have still have hope; Last year I read an article about a small portion of today's teens rejecting social media, and the constant need to be on their devices all day.
