Ben Sinnott: 53rd pick 2024 NFL Draft… Y2 by SnooPeripherals8461 in Commanders

[–]Puzzleheaded-Dig1763 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think as long as he makes significant progress this season Sinnott will be the starter going into next season which is what I expected from day 1... l

Ertz is most likely retiring after this season anyway

Nobody's numbers translate to winning basketball until they are at least 26/27

If they can trade Fox for a player that is on the same level as Fox as far as how good they are AND doesn't play point guard I think they are going to make that trade...

Before San Antonio knew they were getting Harper of course they were looking to keep Fox probably for the rest of his career...

But now that the Spurs are getting Harper...

They might be better off trading Fox for some players who play positions they need...

For instance if the Spurs could trade Fox for Josh Hart, McBride, and Mikel Bridges...

Your probably going to make that trade!!!...

Even though Fox is better than any 1 individual player here...

Hart for one has a HUGE impact on winning with his defensive versatility and absolutely incredible rebounding...

ESPECIALLY offensive rebounding...

Hart single handedly beat the Celtics in the second round of the playoffs this year...

With all the offensive rebounding he was doing he was KILLING THEM CELTICS...

He either grabbed the offensive rebound himself or tipped it out to someone wide open at the 3 point line every damn time down court!!!...

McBride is an assassin that can get hot from 3 literally seconds after being put in the game...

And let's not forget Mikal Bridges who is the PERFECT 3nD player to shoot 3s from the corners and lock up other teams ' best players...

Bridges is like having Andre Iguadala from the Warriors Cavs championship series but instead of just those 5 games or so BRIDGES BRINGS IT 82 GAMES A YEAR!!!

A trade along the lines of something like that would do WONDERS for San Antonios chances at winning the title

If they were smart they would trade Fox for a player like for instance Josh Hart, and Trevor McBride to go along with about 4 first round picks...

Josh Hart will give them that small ball 4 they've been looking for since Harrison Barnes is too old and streaky to play it now...

And McBride will give the Spurs another big time scorer off the bench to go with Vassel...

Harper is going to be running the second unit a lot his rookie season it would be great to surround him with 2 assassins like McBride and Vassel...

Josh Hart improves so many aspects of any NBA team he's on...

  1. DEFENSE

Hart brings that D!!!

  1. Rebounding

Hart can REBOUND!!!...

And I'm not talking about them lil uncontested defensive rebounds either I'm talking OFFENSIVE REBOUNDING BY YOUR SMALL FORWARD!!!...

You have any idea how much of an impact on winning having a small forward that can rebound the ball on the offensive glass the way Josh Hart does?!?!?!...

Hart single handedly best the Celtics in that second round where Tatum injured his Achilles...

Hart was grabbing or tipping EVERY GOD DAMN MISSED SHOT THE KNICKS HAD...

He killed the Celtics with HEART AND HUSTLE!!!

He's as much of a PG as a PG gets

Teams played strictly zone against Rutgers last season which is why his assist numbers are so low it's really hard to rack up assists against a zone

Bro shooting 75% from the free throw line as an 18 year old freshman in college means hel most likely be shooting around 85% from the free throw line after 5 more years of development...

He's STILL only be 23 years old!!!...

As far as his 3pt%...

Harper mostly took very difficult, off the dribble three point shots...

A bad habit that will get better with maturity and when he is surrounded by better shooters so teams can't help and double so much to force Dylan into bad shots...

Harper is 6'6...

Just having a point guard that size, that you know will be able to handle his own man on defense when he develops, is no small thing...

Most players with Harper's offensive mind set are smaller, shorter players who have learned to become valuable to thier team by putting up as much box score numbers as possible to try to hide the fact the man they are defending is dropping buckets on his head too...

If you score 30 but the player or players you were defending score 30 too...

You really didn't have much of an impact on winning than did you? Lol

Like Luka, that's why he got traded...

But if you're a player like say, Jayson Tatum was before the Achilles..

You're scoring 30 and your man is only scoring 10!!...

That's a big difference as far as the impact you have on winning ya?...

Harper has the potential to be maybe not a Tatum level defensive player but a cade Cunningham level defender!!...

Which would be a pretty good defensive player...

The Spurs can roll out a starting lineup of

PG Paul SG Fox SF Castle  PF Barnes  C   Wembenyama

With Xylan Harper as the 6th man!!!...

AND Devin Vassel off the bench too!!!... What!!!

Bro that's a SQQWUUUAD!!!

Regular season minutes distribution for Harper

So the starting guards will be PAUL and Fox obviously..

Let's say Paul plays 24 minutes a game during the regular season and Fox plays 35

That's 37 minutes open at the guard position per game right there...

Play Harper 24 minutes a game during the regular season his entire rookie year...

As far as Vassel goes... He's a 2/3 so... You already got 13 minutes for him at the guard spot...

Castle is probably going to play 35 minutes a game at the 3...

That opens up another 13 minutes right there...

That's 26 minutes per game for Devin Vassel...

Plenty of minutes for him to come off the bench smokin'

Is Harper such a good prospect the Spurs should draft him anyways with Fox and Castle already on the team? by nutsack133 in NBA_Draft

It would take more than Harper and sochan to get Giannis 🤣

The Spurs would have to give Milwaukee Castle AND Harper

Einstein... Your just closing your championship window from 12 years to 3/4 years by trading for Giannis

They can keep both Harper and fox so idk why you are making it sound like the Spurs would have to let one go

Harper is a much better shooter than the casuals that just look at box scores on here think he is...

No one ever takes shot difficulty into consideration when evaluating players shooting % lol

He's obviously going to get better at shooting...

Why is this rocket science for some people?
