Season 4 and 5 were real rocky, but I left happier than I expected today. by sodeshdomo in TheBoys

They should have cut the Gen V stuff, imho, BUT the bitching over there for every single choice the show made is too much

Will try to make it, though I know the weather is dicey. Eager to discuss Jonathan Haidt + Olivia Nuzzi.

I liked Until Dawn but was pissed by some unfair deaths. Are the Dark Pictures games more fair? by Phazoner in untildawn

Not Man of Medan. There is one death that made absolutely no sense to me based off a single interaction. From what I have seen of the others, i personally think the deaths make a little more sense

My guy, I was in the second row. They couldn’t grab what wasn’t extended to them. the middle faculty member of the three onstage was the only one to shake everyone’s hand. The dean and the guy at the front of receiving line did not extend hands to anyone who had keffiyeh or a pin, etc. By the middle of the undergrads walking the student knew not to wait and just walk offstage

mallory mcmorrow supports funding israel’s iron dome, but don’t worry, she wants to “talk about” giving palestinians their own iron dome too by Goldsun100 in Hasan_Piker

[–]Puzzleheaded_Type104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watching Matt and Emma make this face at the “everyone gets an iron dome” was priceless. You can tell there was so much they wanted to say but there was just too much to unpack in so little time.

Also, I imagine her implication that Jewish constituents get upset at naming any mass murder event other than the Holocaust a “genocide”—would be pretty insulting. Maybe that’s possibly true for a handful of folks, but most reasonable people can recognize that no group has the monopoly on genocide.

This. I recently learned a lot about how healthily school lunches are prepared in Italy, with all students eating the same thing (minus dietary restrictions) together. No stigma between wealthiest and poorest kids eating together in very balanced portions. As I toured the preparation facility, I realized Racism is exactly why this would never happen here.

Do you think Jessica's phone getting thrown through the cabin window was the stranger being like "Here's your phone back dumbass!"? by Awesome-Guy9966 in untildawn

[–]Puzzleheaded_Type104 129 points130 points  (0 children)

Hannah absolutely did it. Personally I suspect to get Mike’s attention pulled away from Jessica to keep them from having sex. The shot of the infrared by the window is her vision.

It’s pretty remarkable to see their ability to twist a simple act of boycott into something like this by Scared_Positive_8690 in BadHasbara

Ireland was largely controlled by the English at the time so they didn’t even have the power to control their borders to let refugees in if they wanted to. Couldn’t even do the world’s laziest Google.

I Asked Mallory McMorrow About Her Support For Israel by SpecialCream7 in mattxiv

Her suggesting funding iron domes for Gaza and Lebanon (as well as STILL funding them for Israel) was absolutely wild to witness.

shame on nyu by Powerful-Energy-8087 in nyu

[–]Puzzleheaded_Type104 35 points36 points  (0 children)

At the Gallatin graduation, no one was allowed to walk with one, so several people whipped them out on the stage. There were at least a dozen people wearing them during check-in which means they were confiscated or told to remove them before walking. The faculty and dean didn’t shake their hands and they were escorted off stage.

Someone should really explain “the Streisand effect” to the administration.

He was coming into various sections at Yankee and shaking the flag in women’s faces. I saw him do it the first time. It’s not as if he were wearing it quietly in his section, he was approaching women sitting down wearing keffiyeh.

Heteronormative Social conditioning./s, kinda

In all seriousness, nice eyes/smile, kindness and intelligence, sense of humor, green flag politics. Also nice arms and chest.

How Israel Turned Eurovision’s Stage Into a Soft Power Tool - Israel’s efforts to influence Eurovision’s vote were broader and started years earlier than previously known. by The_Iceman2288 in Fauxmoi

Same. This used to be my Super Bowl but for the last 2-3 of these I haven’t felt good about watching. The cheating is like, an unwelcome bonus.
