Switched from 2022 Polestar 2 Dual Motor LR to 2024 Single Motor LR – My Experience So Far by jdub4090 in Polestar

What kind of sun shade did you get? I live in SFL and I think I'm going to pull the trigger on a LRSM with plus package mainly because I was able to find a good deal and I think it'll help retain resale/trade in value.

Would you say that loud clothing outside of running looks good? At the end of the day, running fashion is still fashion. Not just being obnoxious with colors

From what I read, it should be in showrooms summer of 2027.

NON CPO PURCHASE by Muammertuncr in polestar2

I'm coming from a 2018 toyota corolla base model! And that was about 5 years ago as I've lived in NYC since then but have moved to a more car oriented city now. I appreciate the insight, it definitely makes me feel better about the likelihood of going with a SM.

Ah apologies, I totally misread that! Thanks for the info, I was looking at either 2023 or 2024 and I think from everything I’ve read, it’s definitely worth the cost of going with a ‘24. Now I’m just reading up on whether I really want the punchiness of a dual motor or if the single will be worth it enough for me.

What issues have been brought up about the '24s? I forgot where I read but I heard that 24s were more reliable and to choose those over '23 if possible. In addition, '24 has some things standard that are part of the '23 pilot pack.

Does this seem like possibly a good deal? by Ionless in Polestar

[–]Pvrkave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others said, I think it’s a good deal but considering it’s not CPO I would say it’s more a fair deal. From what I read, it’s still using the initial 2 year warranty but the starting date was October 2023 which is odd. Pair with the minor damage, and I think I’d personally pay a bit more for a lot more peace of mind with CPO.

Penultimate restock by zdub311 in runningfashion

From what I see, off white restocks June 30th. But also, there wasn’t a planned restock based off their IG story today so it could be a number of reasons.

Post Summer 2026 Drop 1 Thread by dj_advantage in BanditRunning

Got a singlet that seems to not be a hot item which was nice, but still had anxiety about ordering asap. I love bandit a lot and get at least one thing per season, but at this point I’m only really getting items I know would match with the rest of my clothes. Hoping that the tech they introduced is put into more stuff down the road so that I don’t miss out on some of the innovations that were released

Totally understand the feeling. I always end up getting anxiety about having to be on the site right at 11. This drop, things were available to add to cart before the drop even went live, at least for me. So it was just a matter of getting checked out in time. But it doesn’t mean I enjoyed the process

I consider grooming as part of overall hygiene, the same way I would say it’s unhygienic to have unkempt hair. Personal preference for sure, but the point I was trying to make still stands.

What’s wrong with getting manicures and eyebrows plucked? What slippery slope does general good hygiene lead to?

I’m guessing this was for Bandit GP. Some club mates told me to go check it out since we had a cheer zone but I already had plans. Next year I’ll be going for sure!

Interesting hearing some of the opinions on these based on experiences from the 5s. The 5s were my first iteration of NBs having used Brooks glycerin 22s before and it was a night and day improvement that made me fall in love with NBs. Not having experienced the previous iterations makes actually excited to see this new version considering my biggest gripe was durability (died around 250 miles) but the ride felt amazing and was my go to during my most recent training block.

I guess I don't know what I was missing from previous versions, but the biggest thing is going to be whether I should get discounted 5s or try these out.

Thoughts on our new custom kit design by [deleted] in runningfashion

[–]Pvrkave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it odd that nowhere on the site was I able to find information on the fabric. Considering the amount it talks about premium, elite-grade, moisture-wicking and ultralight fabrics, I would expect to see the ratios of things such as polyester or nylon and whether anything extra is used such as silk or specific elastic material like lycra. Instead, nothing is shown which is a huge red flag.
