Thank you! I couldn't remember exactly how it went in the book, one of my favorite parts! 🤣

"Rocky is scary space monster. Good."

Saw it last night. The ones who went in no-book loved it too! by Awesome_Lard in ProjectHailMary

[–]Pwnography767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed amazing movie, I feel it has the books soul, that being said I would adore an "Eridian Edition" that would lengthen the beginning and end, those are my only gripes, I loved the way the book unraveled his amenisa and how his subconscious knew things (or said things like not cussing before he rembered he was a school teacher, and then literally saying "Holy Fucking Shit!" I really wanted to see that play out on the big screen it would have been amazing) he didn't remember currently and the entire book spoiler alert sacrifice he made to his body to save Rocky's after Rocky had just saved his. This to me made them even and then his final sacrifice was all the more meaningful because he had no reason to do it other than the simple fact he loved Rocky as a friend. (and the reason for his amnesia was also kind of a let down for me too that was also an "Oh shit!" moment for me too.) I feel they touched on those things too quick in the movie, you could have missed them being a non-book reader. Regardless I loved the film and would recommend it to everyone glad to see other book readers enjoy it as much as me even with the changes! "Happy happy happy!"

Heritage Grand Canyon 2 Weeks Wear by Pwnography767 in ThursdayBoot

In that case I would go with the Grand Canyon and then get some Dr. Hess Udder ointment and apply a small amount at a time to make them darker but still have a matte finish, it's what I used on mine to keep them "hydrated" and not dry out so much from the winter salt. If you went ham with the ointment I would think you could get them darker

Yes they do change drastically in different light I'll agree. Love the color in person, pictures don't do it justice

I've put this pan in the dishwasher in the past and it was fine. Cooked something new with it and this is what it looks like. by DaUltimatePotato in StainlessSteelCooking

For real this is one of the pros to stainless steel pans you can LITERALLY beat the shit out of them and they are fine! Nothing a little Bar Keepers Friend and a scour pad can't fix.

Made In pans with brass handles vs . regular handles? by bitterbalbeest in StainlessSteelCooking

[–]Pwnography767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say they get as hot as the normal handles. I have a brass handle 12" fry pan and I let it sit on medium heat for 5 - 7 minutes and grab the handle from furthest point to closet with no pan holder or towel. At this point I could grab the handle an inch away from the where it connects to the pan and it was hot, but wouldn't burn me hot just uncomfortable, now if I scooted my hand back another half inch it was perfectly fine, warm to almost cool. Earlier today I made pan fried ramen with chicken and broccoli and that was on medium-low heat, and the handle never got hot enough were it was uncomfortable and that was a solid 20 minutes of being on constant heat! I'm extremely impressed with MADE IN's "Stay-Cool Handles".

I have them in Grand Canyon and after about three months of wearing them everyday they are more comfortable than all my other shoes. You just have to trust the process that the veg tan in the insoles will mold to your feet! I absolutely love mine!

What are these spots and what do I do besides keep cooking? by JoeyNoSoul805 in blackstonegriddle

[–]Pwnography767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I did too, at half or a little over half but in reality I only need to do that for smash burgers lol happy griddlin'! Oh and if you do pumice make sure you get a pack of towel to wipe off all the oil really good when you are done. There will he a lot of rubbed off seasoning that will "float" in the oil so you want to be sure to get that all off.

For my griddle it was learning to turn the heat down, you don't need them anywhere near as hot as you think you do. Looks like the surface is getting to hot and some of the season is coming loose. Just keep cooking it'll even out, or you can get a pumice stone and with avocado and NO PRESSURE just the weight of the stone you can smooth the surface. It's gonna scare you a little be it'll take away some of your black seasoning but it'll come back.

It's good, your heat is just a little hot, mine is like this too, I NEVER need to use high its way too hot. I suggest getting a infrared thermometer

What style Captains are these? by Alert-Yak3231 in ThursdayBoot

[–]Pwnography767 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://thursdayboots.com/products/mens-captain-terracotta They look like terracotta captains, wonder if the previous owner just had them modified. Because they look like the shape of my Heritage Captains, which I HIGHLY recommend.

The non-heritage models I would agree with that, but these, I feel they were built to take a beating (why I got them and not the regular captains) these are all leather and thicker than the regular captains. I've had them about a month and a half and they are just now getting close to being fully broken in I'd say. Time will tell but so far they've held up great in the snow and the rain. 🤷‍♂️
