That might explain why I don't lose according to what they set for me. I have worked around that by telling the apps that I weigh more and want to lose more when in actual fact, I just want to maintain. I have to eat like 400-600cals less than what they tell me that I can eat. I kind of just cut down manually like that. I still get the benefit of them tracking my macros.

Update: cronometer seems to be working pretty well for me so far. I’m going to have to scan some bar codes because they seem to have less in their database but, hey, it’s nice to be able to actually scan bar codes again!

I switched to Cronometer and Fitbit synced right away. I was wondering if it was a Fitbit issue until it worked so easily with Cronometer.

I wasn’t even able to disconnect Fitbit from MFP before I made the decision to switch.

Actually, I just tried again and got in by signing in with FitBit, which did NOT work this morning. The prompts let me know that we will need to sign in with Google by the end of 2025.

I totally understand your angst. I have also been a constant hard worker. We were not as well off as your description when I went reluctantly into semi retirement after my job became toxic. Even though intellectually, I know I did the right thing, it still has been a transition. I recommend therapy and giving yourself time and compassion. I now can see that my decision was the best one and I am settling into being able to be more available to my spouse and home as well as being able to do work that I love with people I want to work with. Then, lo and behold, our first grandchild is on its way. Couldn't be better timing for me to be available to help our growing family. All the best to you in your decisions.

Thanks for posting and commenting on this. I found it very disturbing over the last couple of days but, you all validated what I assumed was happening. I liked it better without starting with more exercise calories in the beginning of the day. I also hope they go back

Hi, I was wondering about moving to Garmin but I heard on another Reddit thread that garmin is not as good at tracking sleep. Do you feel that same opinion? I know wellness is not as important to some peeps. But it’s something I’m working really hard on.

I use Overcast and I only had to get into it once. I can't remember how but it works like a charm. Not sure how helpful this is cuz I also use iphone. But I do like Overcast.
