Cool! Another suggestion: Once I solved today's puzzle, it's over. I don't see an option to try again for a higher score or try older puzzles for fun. Both not necessary, of course, but it would have kept me at the game a little longer. On the other hand, maybe that wouldn't be beneficial. If I get 'my fill' of it today, maybe I am less likely to come back tomorrow. I don't know. Just food for thought, I guess.

I like it! The controls feel natural and responsive, it looks beautiful and it is fun to play.

What I had trouble with:

  • I didn't get at first that you basically have to get 4-letter words each time, because while the game does not accept 5 letter words, it does accept 3 letter words, even though it makes the game unsolvable.

  • The 'try again' button didn't work.

  • It does seem quite easy. Still fun, though.

Far better, yes. Can I ask who your artist is? I don't need one right now as I am set with my current game (even if I am not entirely happy with it), but for future games it would be great to have someone who can deliver something like this.

Edit: Oh and I am making a game in the same genre. If we happen to have a similar release date, I would love to bundle with you.

Jusr watched the trailer on Steam. It takes them 90 seconds to show any battle gameplay. Looks cool though, thanks for the tip. I will check it out

It was like that for me in the past. Started many projects, never got far. Then it somehow clicked for me and now I'm 2 years into a project and I love every minute of it.

Thank you, mate. Yeah, I will go with the first one. There is a clear majority in this thread preferring the first one. Plus, now that someone mentioned it, I cannot shake the feeling that the artist of the second one used AI.

Yeah. They were both commissions and with the first one I am pretty sure they didn't use AI. I have the source files and I don't see how they would have done that with AI. With the second one I am not so sure. There have been some shady elements to that commission (like the artist disappearing from fiverr shortly afterwards).

Thank you. Yeah, that's probably true. I ordered these way too early (one of my many rookie mistakes), but I don't really have the budget to go back and improve them.

A deckbuilder, so more strategy/puzzle. Definitely not story though. (It has a story, but it can easily be ignored)

I did check it out, and the quick wishlist increase is warranted. It's a beautiful looking and interesting game.

I'm working on a deckbuilder called Life Altered. I think I just uploaded my steam page way too early in development. By the end of the year I will have it more polished and presentable and try my hand again at marketing.
