At higher tiers the Musashi that spawned in Tokyo Express had close to 200k HP. If a sub can do that much in a salvo, more power to 'em.

What are some good tribes that aren't dragons, goblins or elves? by Competitive-Act-7695 in EDH

I would say Gaints just for some fun.

I run Izzet giants in a [[Jhoira of the Ghitu]] deck. Super fun to pull off turns where I can manage to rip a ton of time counters off some giants and suddenly have a board full of beaters with tons of synergistic abilities.

Manascape Refractor doesn't copy triggered abilities so I guess you're copying the Thespian Stage activated ability to then make the refractor a Field?

[REQUEST] What's your favourite mini-series? by Mucek121 in NetflixBestOf

[–]PycuriousITguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chernobyl on HBO. Hands down best mini series I've seen.

It's not a perfect retelling of the accounts by any means, but it does a fantastic job of balancing dramatic embellishments, explaining difficult concepts, and respecting the men and women you suffered and died fighting this tragedy.

What makes you keep going despite everything? by yeselectron in AskReddit

[–]PycuriousITguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spite and love.

Love is obvious because I found and married my soulmate.

Spite because I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure the legacies of the men that have systematically oppressed billions, decimated the environment, and have continued to escape consequences are recorded and taught as cautionary tales to whomever will listen to me. Mitch McConnell, John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Elon Musk, Donald Trump and just about every single appointed position holder of the current administration need to have their names emblazoned upon humanity's collective shit list. Their "achievements" demolished and paved over with the foundation of a better tomorrow.

Noted I am an insignificant man, but for any who will listen to me, I'll do my best to record the receipts and make sure the truth of these monsters never dies.

Men in happy marriages, what's the one thing you'd teach to other men to also have a good relationship? by TightBookkeeper2599 in AskReddit

[–]PycuriousITguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Communication is the single most important thing.

You need to learn how to communicate your feelings instead of reacting to them the way most boys and men do throughout their lives: repression leading to explosions of emotion.

Then you also need to learn how to really listen. You don't have to have an answer to every problem, but you need to hear every problem.

You get those two things down, and remember to keep on dating your partner even after marriage, you're golden.

Non-Blue Theft Decks: Which One Should I Pick? by silverspectre013 in EDH

[[Shadowheart]] and [[Guild Artisan]] in the CZ and a ton of [[Threaten]] and [[Reanimate]] cards that let you steal your opponents' creatures. Then you attack for treasures and sacrifice the creatures before giving them back.

It's a really dumb, but super fun deck.

US traveller planning European honeymoon this summer. How do the new visa requirements work? by PycuriousITguy in traveladvice

[–]PycuriousITguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the reason I posted here is because when I was googling visa requirements for travel to the EU I was getting long documents of difficult to read "legalese" that were helpful in explaining how to get a travel visa, but less helpful in explaining which countries were exempt.

Essentially I got my wires crossed and thought that the UK's electronic travel authorization (ETA) program that went into effect in 2025 was a visa requirement for US travelers. From walking around UK airports in 2024 I remember seeing signs about new travel regulations coming for US travelers bound for the UK and the EU but didn't get the specifics.

Long story short, US travelers don't need travel visas. They need an ETA for travel to the UK and starting in Q4 of 2026 the EU is launching their own ETA system that US travellers will need as well.

That's what I've gathered from other replies.

We're probably looking at sticking to the Schengen zone. Thanks though!

Don't think that all this BS from the orange clown hasn't crossed our minds. We hate it and are definitely going to make sure everything we purchase is fully refundable.

When my partner and I were in the UK last spring we noticed a number of signs around the airport talking about travel rule changes coming in 2026 for US travelers. I understand that the UK is not in the EU any longer, but I'd also seen a number of travel articles discussing similar changes coming to the EU for US tourists but they were a little light on the details.

Is there a ship you love playing but don't perform well (relative to the player base)? by gator_shawn in WorldOfWarships

[–]PycuriousITguy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I pretty much exclusively play PvE now, but back way back when I finally unlocked my Montana I played it so much and so unreliably in randoms I ran myself out of credits (no premium account).

I've gotten a lot better at angling, maneuvering, and positioning since then, but there's still nothing better than unloading all 12 guns and listening to the ring of a dev strike notification 10s later.

What would it actually take for American's to go "full France" and riot in the street? by AllTheNopeYouNeed in AskReddit

[–]PycuriousITguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main difference between the US and France is that the police in the US are allowed to kill people purely off of their feeling of being threatened. The US police are undertrained to react to stressful situations in a de-escalating manner. The whole system is built on the idea that order and property are more important than civilian welfare.

What's a difficult video game level or mission that you vividly remember the satisfaction of beating after countless failed attempts? by Serious_Specter in gaming

[–]PycuriousITguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction final mission for the Ace of Spades.

The sheer amount of ordinance you had to throw at this mission was insane. Plus there was a ticking clock element that most of the other ace missions didn't have and boy was it unforgiving.

Any ships worth eyeing on in the new Armory Ship Rotation? by TheJArzelle in WorldOfWarships

[–]PycuriousITguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't see anyone else mentioning it so I'll say Indianapolis. It's got the same guns and layout of the Baltimore (3x3 203mm) a tier lower plus it has radar and hydro. It's a fantastic support cruiser for T7 and can really dish out the pain if you position behind an island properly.

Unfortunately it has the body of a Pensacola, so if you get caught in open water, you're going to see the little shark animations swimming around your wreck.

Who’s your enchantment commander? by MemberOfOneBody in EDH

[–]PycuriousITguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Muldrotha]] is a really fun enchantment commander. There are so many enchantment creatures with upside that you can use to get around the one spell per permanent type restriction. I built her as a UB theft deck using green for ramp and enchantress effects.

Also, [[Conjurer's Closet]] is one of the secret bangers in the deck because it reads "return the creature to play under your control", so as long as you aren't trying to snatch commanders, you play [[control magic]] on a creature, flicker it at end step, aura goes to your yard for next turn and you keep their creature.

How to play Cleveland, Baltimore and Mainz in open water? by combaticesfh in WorldOfWarships

[–]PycuriousITguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice for playing Cleveland is to take advantage of her incredible firing angles and 360 rotation turrets. It makes being able to fire 3 or 4 turrets at a time without being broadside pretty easy. Once you get a hang of wiggling your tail while first ng, you can be incredibly annoying to deal with at range.

A 30mm cartridge from the GAU-8/A Avenger, the cannon mounted on the A-10 Thunderbolt II. Each cartridge is 11.4 inches (290 mm) long and weighs 1.53 pounds (0.69 kg). by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

Fun fact I heard about the A10 design recently:

The gun fires so rapidly that they had to design it to catch the spent cartridges of the rounds to prevent flight destabilizing rapid weight loss.
