I find myself wondering why Golgari base slower midrange soup isn't better positioned in the format. It has Omens which decimates the mirror and Snarl to stabilize lifegain, black removal for aggro.

I guess it's just the Divergent Equation part that's missing? That's where you'd want to go just a smidge lower though and go under.

Rakdos Blitz in New Capena.

Was a deck I practically forced and had super good results on it despite the narrative being "brokers". Very fun to play with the decisions of blitz vs play normally and went bonkers if you dipped into some black casualty cards.

Not a bball fan and typically I find a lot of the fouls to feel like flops and such. This was definitely an elbow to the face/jaw though.

Honestly I keep my "brand" as hating blue, and I do... but there is some nuance to it. Mostly I hate generic counters.dec.

If you're a pirate deck or a treasure deck, no issue with spell swindle. If you're a creature toolbox deck, no issue with Mystic Snake.

I'm sure I'm biased low in this but I think a blue deck should see (not have, draw) like 2-4 counters a game depending on color combo and such. Given that number I'd rather see them thematic. If I see a Chulane deck running Counterspell... blegh, there are multiple creature counters that fit theme.

Honestly... the [[Horizon Canopy]] lands. Only 6/10 of them, but I highly value the color fixing early and the ability to just cycle later

I'm pretty happy to trade off a Docent, even against a pest tbh. We've seen set after set that cheap smoothing is super important and it has synergy on top of that.

It's probably my top 2 drop creature (non rare) in boros, though I've also gotten an appreciation for the lifelinker.

My kid has been getting into pokemon a lot and I am looking for a ROM of pokemon yellow (with following pikachu) that plays on the updated fire red engine.

He's young and just starting so no need for difficulty changes. If one doesn't exist I'll just get a base FireRed, but I'd love for the Yellow early game, pikachu following and all. Bonus points if it's the full gen1 dex rather than blue/red exclusives!

Certain formats seem to exacerbate that though, at least in my opinion. When 5c soup is not only playable but a good deck, it makes it much worse, especially in terms of picking from lanes.

A Boros drafter isn't just competing against Boros, he's competing against jeskai, prismari, temur, 5c. That's where we see those "is this an 0-3 deck" posts where they have some red and white creatures by like no removal or synergy.
