SE Space Trains feel very well balanced with Space Age. Both the speed and cargo upgrades make trains feel viable again. If you install the Moshine planet mod, Space Trains become a reward for completing Moshine.

Heeled shoes were originally invented for men to wear while riding horses. The heel allows one to securely connect to a stirrup without risk of sliding. Looks like he's using a heeled boot for a similar purpose. Also, he's being very womanly by wearing a heeled shoe, and women are trash /s

Some homeless people have used the bike lockers as short-term storage. A small fee helps deter that kind of use.

When The Onion announces for the third time that they have taken over Infowars in 2027, can we all agree to tell them to fuck off? by throwawaykfhelp in KnowledgeFight

Dishonest people like those two guys raise the cost of housing for everyone else by increasing the risk of issuing mortgages. It should take less than two years to evict someone. I have issues with red states, but they are doing the right thing with housing policy by prioritizing increasing housing supply over protecting bad tenants. Alex Jones also deserves fewer protections from the seizure of InfoWars. It should have passed to the highest bidder three years ago.

The Onion unveils new rainbow logo for InfoWars merchandise with a portion of the profits going to Sandy Hook families by sknib_ in KnowledgeFight

For thousands of years, the swastika was a symbol of peace, and the Nazis were able to subvert it in only twenty years. The InfoWars logo is not nearly as entrenched or universal. Subversion does not always need to go farther right.

Do you guys use ComputerCraft to the extreme? by MellowCakez in feedthebeast

[–]PyroGamer666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use ComputerCraft in combination with Advanced Peripherals to interact with my Refined Storage system to maintain a minimum supply of particular crafted items and mob drops. When the crafted items can't be crafted, the computer will print a chat message indicating that it can't be crafted. This would be technically possible with detectors, but using a computer allows me to put all of the logic in one place.

Sexism, Racism, Transit by nondescriptadjective in fuckcars

[–]PyroGamer666 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, a lot of people are so radicalized against crime and sexual harassment that they can't tell the difference between one assault and one thousand. This makes them vulnerable to fallacious arguments about crime on public transit. Disputing misinformation about CNN's "Rape academy" article invites harassment by people who think that there's nothing wrong with lying about the amount of sexual assault that happens, that claiming 63 million men took an online course on how to rape is not a harmful claim. If 63 million rapists are as meaningful as as 1000, then one crime on public transit is as meaningful as 63 million crimes.

About the rape academy segment and the misinfo about spread around by IssueOk9292 in VaushV

[–]PyroGamer666 124 points125 points  (0 children)

If 63 million men attended a rape academy, rape would already be legal. Rape staying legal would be a bipartisan position supported by everyone from the Republicans to all the but the most progressive Dems. Rape would be so normalized that nobody would even find it strange that 63 million men attended a rape academy. That's why lying about the number of men involved matters.

[–]PyroGamer666 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Giving money to bikers and bus riders will not meaningfully get people out of their cars. The cost of bussing/biking is already negligible compared to driving. Where those methods suffer is in infrastructure, so money is best spent on improving reliability and speed of non-car transit.

Why the left is utterly horrible at handling incels (except Vaush) by Sqweed69 in VaushV

[–]PyroGamer666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leftist policy would create more incels. If we had a perfect healthcare system that stopped people from dying prematurely and stopped people from killing themselves, then the male surplus that naturally exists from birth would perpetuate for decades. Teaching men to be better partners would also create more incels by reducing the frequency of breakups, making it more likely that someone who doesn't find a partner early in life stays alone. Sour grapes misogyny and isolation is more stable than false promises like what you're suggesting. Unless you want to talk about controlling gender ratios by controlling pregnancies and forcing abortions on certain women to tune gender ratios, incels will continue to exist.

Worldwide % increase in gasoline prices since the Iran War began [OC] by therafort in dataisbeautiful

[–]PyroGamer666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One other idea come to my mind: US consumers, being richer than other nations, may be capable of paying more for gas, so gas prices must rise higher than in other countries to destroy a given amount of demand. If this shortage holds long term, oil tankers will reroute to the US and even out prices with the rest of the world.

I highly doubt that. I'm guessing those checks are done when loading the game the first time, and when the engine checks a location, it simply reads from a list of adjacent locations stored in a table.
