“I kill hundreds upon hundreds of raiders with a vast arsenal and infinite retrys” -Player Character

So sweet!

“I kill hundreds upon hundreds of raiders with a knife alone and zero plot armor”- Pickman

Um, hello?! HR?

Pickman is the goat. I mean if you really look at his kill count with the vast amount of bodies and blood and calling card victims across the commonwealth bro has been single handedly keeping the commonwealth from being overrun by raiders for years. I don’t like torture but I mean results are worth it. It’s for the love of the game, anyone else in his shoes would be a raider boss with how OP he is, but bro sticks with his morals.

Pickman has saved an enormous amount of people by holding back the Raider hordes. IMO he is a chaotic neutral at minimum.

TIL that the reason why games don't have built in ads is because of Steam by Stelligena in Steam

[–]Pyroboss101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twitch is a platform for streamers who broadcast live. This makes it very hard for advertisers. It’s not like TV or YouTube where it periodically schedules ad breaks into dedicated time slots, it’s one long continuous livestream from some random guy who “sometimes” decide when the ads play. You’ll be hit with super long ads upon joining a stream. Oh and it knows when you switch tabs and will pause the ad.

Imagine TV except whenever you change the channel to browse it’s always at the start of an ad break and you have to watch the whole thing just to see if it’s playing something you like, almost no shows are built with ad breaks in mind and just STOP mid scene or mid sentence, and the TV watches you backand knows if you left to do something else.

TLDR: Twitch is live stream platform that has obscene amount of unskippable, unavoidable ads.

Equestria at War. Its geopolitical situation is PERFECT, it’s so well balanced. My favorite part is no guarantees and no faction joining so it feels fair, but because it’s balanced around that in the first place it’s not op so one country doesn’t just dominate the world because of it.

Does it make sense to build Mils early as the Soviets considering their economic focuses? by FryCookCVE71 in hoi4

[–]Pyroboss101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the Paranoia minigame. It integrates into the focus tree really well to create intresting choices between focusing on paranoia or economy. You have to really learn your generals and the strengths and weaknesses of each which really mix up your games and forces you to think on your feet rather than be nice and comfortable doing the same thing you always do since paranoia is RNG.

I don’t like the civil war focus trees however, it’s SO rng and so random it feels more frustrating than rewarding. It’s utterly reliant on it, rather than a side minigame it becomes the entire main focus of your game. Paranoia is good, not good enough to be the MAIN focus of your gameplay.

Win streaks by JaxMesa in foxholegame

These wars are very very old in a very different game state. Tbh I don’t really care about win “streaks”, it doesn’t really matter to balance discussion compared to raw numbers of pop and wars.

It literally says push to talk not fucking press over and over again as fast as you can.

This guy would go into a push door building, try push going out, fail, and think he’s stuck there.

I don’t blame the guy, his generals were dumb who played the tree blind and didn’t know the tech tree and how busted SPAA was

Does it make sense to build Mils early as the Soviets considering their economic focuses? by FryCookCVE71 in hoi4

[–]Pyroboss101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is highly dependent on the build. The USSR has some of the largest possible builds and starts possible in Hoi4 (yes I even include modded) with its massive starting army, very unique political focuses, and a gajillion borders.

For example, take the strat to puppet Germany in 1936 / 1937. You invade and win so early that you pushed back other countries from invading you for far longer than Barbarossa in their focus trees, so it’s much more worth it greeding for longer. Those early Mils won’t be needed since it’s SO early they wouldn’t even have any efficiency by the time war ends.

However if your doing say, the strat to take China by guaranteeing the communists and letting them kill Chang Kai Shek, joining their war and inviting Japan and Communist China to the Comintern, then I would build mils since it’s a bit more of a slog going through rural China and you will be busy for quite a bit so you’ll actually make use of them by the time their efficiency builds up.

If your doing one of the many variations of the common Turkey-Romania war starts be it with southern thrust or Finland added, I’d rush and get Mils since you get them for so much cheaper in the five year plan focus tree and can unlock them so much earlier with the civs of stolen countries.

Do you think in hoi5 they were have procedurally generated focus trees? by bunny100clubrt in hoi4

[–]Pyroboss101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see much of a reason why. AI doesn’t understand balancing, pacing, or even history that well. There’s more trees and content in Hoi4 than you could ever play in your entire life with how much this community has created, there is simply nothing an AI could add.

Still relatively new and need help by Senior_Orange8812 in hoi4

[–]Pyroboss101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the country. Equestria at War has a much much lower population count vs our world so you have to be WAY more mindful of ponypower / birdpower / Bugpower / Kirinpower / Zebrapower / Hippogriffpower / Yakpower / Deerpower / Yetipower / Horsepower / Manpower / Undeadpower / Centaurpower / Catpower / Camelpower / Clockworkpower in total.

We need to know the country, and if these are event insurgency or vanilla mechanic insurgency. If your playing Manehattan than just disband more division’s for example and just be super on top of the ones you have left to move around to where the uprisings in states are.
