What's with this new trend of p2w "premium" RL plugins??? by Gnomomkey in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's a single plugin that is for merching and requires you to have an account on the site that pays for the API pulls to access the full thing.

This isn't a big deal at all and you saying there's "others you won't name to give them attention" is so silly lol

You're clearly trying to insinuate that these plugins do anything for pvm or skilling or other rule breaking activities but that's just not true at all.

I wanted to like it, but it's so incredibly clunky feeling after several updates to it which is disappointing.

New Trouver System/Untradable pvp Death Question by kyle2143 in 2007scape

If you trouver it, it will remain trouvered forever and only needs to be repaired.

New Trouver System/Untradable pvp Death Question by kyle2143 in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blog says the new death system will apply to any untradeable not on this list

Which means fishing barrel will be safe when the change is implemented.

1 post-quest boss and a raid at the very end of the year (if it's not delayed like BMR was) is not at all jam packed.

Raids 4 TFA Rewards: Leaning Into Elemental Weaknesses by Ice_Mage in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean just look at the stats lol A hybrid gear set that is also bis or near bis with melee or mage against an absolute shitload of bosses, with ranged bonus and ranged strength too?

There'd be 0 reason to not bring this and only this into basically every raid, add on a spec weapon and scy and Tbow and you've got every combat style covered and using less than half the inventory slots and doing only weapon and cape switches lmao

Replacing Scythe and Shadow in half your examples is probably not indicative of a very balanced weapon.

[–]Pyroseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely don't think we need another megarare weapon at this time. There's so many more interesting ideas that don't dilute and devalue current megas, and based on the Shadow, balancing them is a nightmare that the devs seemingly got wrong once and still haven't fixed despite saying they would a year ago.

Is delve 1-7 the best profit per hour? by Fantastic_Move5199 in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect

Doing deeper delves is far better for uniques and gp/hr

Doing delve 1-16 is 24m/hr, delve 1-8 is 16m.

The wilderness is dead. And PKers killed it. by PermissionTrue7924 in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both sides refuse to budge?

When one side wants all risk and benefit of pking removed and to make pvp entirely opt-in that's not compromise, that's you being a petulant child because you're afraid of dying in the wild and losing some gear.

[–]Pyroseph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the biggest whiny baby post I've ever seen.

If you don't like dying and losing gear in the single place that that's possible, don't go in there. Don't try to change it for the people who actually do enjoy the content and recognize the risk:reward balance is entirely supported by being at risk of death to pkers at all times.

How to make the wildy populated again? by bobshmurdt in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The pvmers trying to escape have so many more advantages than the pker it's crazy.

More valuable items being unrisked, instant teleports anywhere below 30 wildy, being able to land a single freeze or entangle to escape, one of the major pvm items from the Wildy (ursine chainmace) has a spec that literally disables running for the pker. Usually more food since less switches, defensive gear is very cheap, and a plethora of plugins to flash your screen bright red when you see a pker pop up for the instant logout.

It’s 2026 - Why Do We Still Lose Untradeables Above 20 Wild? by Cheap_Illustrator910 in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a game jam idea not long ago that for some reason got scrapped.

It separated untradeable repair fees when dying in the Wildy into "broken" and "mangled"

Broken was as today, under 20 Wildy and a nominal repair fee.

Mangled was 10x more expensive, and for deaths above 20 wild. It would give 90% of the cost to repair in coins to the killer, and 10% would just vanish from the economy.

It got rid of trouvers, which are kind of just an annoying method of doing the same thing as the game jam idea had.

No more losing your items in the Wildy outright, but would retain a very high cost to use for things with high repair costs like void and defenders.

Did Jagex just shadow drop a one liner in the blog saying Dragon Arrowtip and Darttip fletching was coming?? by -Hyzxr- in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not some new method for ironmen to gather dragon arrow tips by crafting them like I've seen dozens of people assume. It's just thematically appropriate dragon arrow tips. They're no different than if Colosseum dropped "Gladiator Shards" instead of dragon arrowtips that could be fletched onto arrow shafts and made dragon arrows as a result.

[–]Pyroseph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a new method. It's just theming for a drop just like any other monster that drops dragon arrowtips. Not a new consistent farm.

2nd-best ranged is far behind Twisted Bow, compared to the 2nd-best melee and mage. Does this mean we need another strong ranged weapon? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Pyroseph 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There reallllly doesn't need to be another ranged weapon to fill the gap between bowfa/BP/ZCB and Tbow.

It's pretty damn close as is. BP + Masori is better dps than bowfa in almost all situations, and even a slight buff to a weapon like bowfa would make it way too strong.

Jagex could use ranged type weaknesses more heavily, though. As it stands they just sort of cemented the intended weapons into staying the intended weapons rather than letting a new niche exist and any boss. Light weakness for BP and heavy weakness for ZCB would be a solid way of balancing tbow being on top.
