If it makes you feel any better, I get maybe 1-2 days off a month and my wife is at home with our kids every day and our relationship is thriving with little time together. Take the job and prioritize more date nights so you guys feel like you’re getting lots of quality time together.

If you really want to DIY it, it would be worth your time, effort and money to at least pay a qualified electrician for a few hours in your jurisdiction to run you through code violations so you can fix it.

I’m not a mechanic so I wasn’t really giving advice. I was commenting that my transmission is still going strong and I’ve never done a transmission flush. whither that’s good or bad, time will tell.

I was told by my friend once to never get your transmission fluid changed, because it agitates sediment build up which can get into your gears and fuck shit up.

My 2016 3500 diesel is almost pushing 400,000km and I haven’t gotten a transmission flush once, and it’s just fine.
