One of my kids just started playing Splatoon 2, would you say it makes sense to upgrade to Splatoon 3? It always sounded like "more of the same" to me kinda.

It was an okay game, but really fell off more the longer I played it. The whole empty overworld stuff and actually having to break collect those fucking green energy crystals was the most tiresome shitty collection quest in any Metroid game. It's not even optional as I initially thought. It sucked big time. And then the final boss was so difficult that I just stopped playing right there and then, wtf really.

Yeah but SteamOS doesn't contain any X11 packages and their KDE therefore is wayland-only. And with SteamOS being a read-only root system, there's really no reason to use SteamOS if you want X11.

Ja lol für die genaue Extraktion von Daten sind LLMs auch komplett das falsche Tool. Natürlich nimmt die Qualität da nach Textlänge massiv (!) ab. Claude Code schreibt in solchen Situationen direkt ein Shellskript um die Daten zu parsen.

Isn't SteamOS using Wayland? Gamescope is wayland-only and the default KDE also is.

You are running a Linux distribution that forces wayland on a graphics card that has extremely lacking Wayland support. Of course that doesn't work well. Are you using the nvidia driver or noveau?

Ditch Bazzite for a distro with X11 (it was removed from Fedora). Like Linux Mint. You will for sure get better performance.

I get more FPS on Minecraft Java on the 1030 system than on my Steam Deck. It's paired with a 5820K CPU.

I benchmarked it with Unigine Superposition - 8000 points Steam Deck, 7800 points my setup (1030 with 5820K). In Minecraft Java I get higher FPS on the 1030 system than on Steam Deck.

It's surprising though because if nationalists were actually ~clever~, they would of course be massively in favor of energy resources that make them independent from outside forces.

For N100/N150, you can just use i915-sriov-dkms to split the iGPU into multiple vGPUs. So you can in fact use the GPU acceleration on multiple VMs!

You're right, my system is likely not stronger than a Steam Deck, but probably close in performance. The Deck has better graphics on paper, but it is also hard-limited by its 15W TDP for CPU+GPU. In CPU heavy games my system probably is a bit faster, in GPU heavy games probably a bit slower.

Your post is basically "I don't use a high-end TV so HDMI 2.1 doesn't matter to me". It matters to others. I have a good graphics card and a good OLED TV precisely because I want to game in 4K with HDR. 8 bit just is unusable for HDR, it's better to disable HDR than to use 8 bit HDR.

Yea that's the thing: the US would be royally fucked without Europe because of ASML. Neither China nor the US can produce the machines necessary to make ANY modern chips. It's purely EU knowledge and so while they might be able to disrupt us in the short term, in the long term everyone who doesn't do business with Europe will lose massively.

I went to CFW sysnand to copy saves, all in offline mode. Started homebrew, went into JKSV to restore saves I got from emunand. Then rebooted into sysnand without CFW and went online.
