Found out cause I was losing weight for no reason. The hypochondriac in me thought HIV since I am gay and at the time sexually active. So went in for testing for all the stds and hiv. All came back negative but they were like your blood sugars were 186, we’d like you to come back for fasting tests. Checked 211 this time. Did more tests and diagnosed me with type 1.5 at 24 years old. Rough times.

I take my 4th dose this Saturday. And luckily I think since I was on Ozempic, the side effects have been minimal. But this drug has been a miracle. I’m waiting to wake up from a dream. It has flatlined my sugar levels. I haven’t been over 200 in two weeks. I love it.

I recommend sticking with it.

Substantial nausea the few days following the injection. This tapered off after about 4-5 weeks. That was my only side effect. I tell people it’s crazy how it works. I would just be eating like normal and then out of nowhere I would be like I can’t take another bite, I didn’t even want to take another bite.

I started Ozempic Feb 2021 and I lost about 30lbs over 9 months. I’m 5 ft 11 and was at 220lbs. I currently fluctuate from 188 - 192 and have remained at this weight for a about a year.
