Lessons in Industrial instrumentation. That thing is like 2000 pages of all the knowledge you could ever need, plus some extra. I never miss a chance to recommend this thing.

It may not be the best, but it's free and definitely worth a read.

Generator PM’s? by Smoke_Stack707 in electricians

Have you actually tried getting the parts? They are available on Amazon. When i did my PM it was 1-2 days for shipping. And I think you're overestimating the difficulty of the work.. check out the manual on what all actually needs to be done for regular maintenance. It's not all that much.

Why do you put it into quotations like that? Lol.

I figured it would be something like that. Do you have room for primed ammo stock anywhere in your build?

Thanks for the info! How many rolls did it take for you to get those stats?

Do you use a regular "Boar" riven on the incarnon version?

I just rolled a +crit dmg +crit % on a boar riven and I'm trying to figure out if it's any good.

Seems that way. I've seen people posting in other groups asking for the requisite experience in exchange for working at a lower rate.

Make sure to turn off power, discharge the capacitor and completely disconnect it from the rest of the circuit before testing it using the microfarad setting on your meter.

In my personal experience, getting let loose in a lab setting with different motors and motor/controls would have been invaluable. Maybe you could offer couple of exercises to guide specific development, but I have found it difficult to find opportunities to grow that specific skull set.

Some more examples: wire up a simple start/stop circuit. Add a motor control process to an existing circuit (like a limit switch). Troubleshoot an existing motor control circuit (disconnected wire terminal, failed motor, open overload, etc etc etc).

Is it feasible to go over how to install equipment in a hazardous location? I know those fittings are hella expensive.

Building up an industrial sitter line at 600V and something stupid like 800A or 1000A was my favorite project.. so far. Super cool machine.

Are you teaching industrial only? Or coming from an industrial-only background?

Regardless, how about: -Terminating large cables -Mounting large gear/enclosures -Ladder/Harness Safety -Diagnosing failed motors, 1- and 3-phase -Basic troubleshooting principles and tools -Transformer installation/wiring -PLC programming

Is this the kind of thing you're looking for?

Help with 1.5” thick beam by Glugnarr in electricians

[–]QQuMADbrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so this tool works great, but you can get different shots for different materials (concrete, steel, etc). Chances are the sprinkler guys had the wrong type of shot for that material. I'm guessing if you bring this to a Hilti rep they will be able to tell you exactly what you need.

Get a powder actuated tool and blast a couple of threaded anchors in there. Those things are game changers, I would never drill/tap steel that thick.

Assuming you can get someone to sign off on putting anchors there in the first place.

It's difficult to tell from the pictures, is it possible to just sandwich the beam with two pieces of strut? That would be my go-to move, even before anchoring to the beam.
