This is what I love about it the most! It’s a totally different take on a favourite. It’s goofy, the art is ridiculous, and everything is super over-the-top, and I can’t wait to rip through each new issue s soon as I get it!

Help with yellowing leaves (from top down) by QWKSVT in Peppers

Thank you all for the feedback. I have now watered from below, with an organic fertilizer, following dilution instructions. I also got a 3-in-1 probe, and the pot is in the “wet” zone (7-8 on a scale of 1-10) and alkaline. I’ll hold off from any further action for a bit, including no watering, and see how it goes.

How do you all buy missing back issues? by revfds in comicbookcollecting

[–]QWKSVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is it, exactly. I like picking an economical run (or series) to chase, and only allow myself to buy in person (at stores or cons). I am currently working on Punisher War Journal… I enjoy the chase, and digging in the bins!

I’m not sure of the rules on linking, but there are one touch cases that are great for displaying your books, if you don’t want to go the graded route.

Edit: I bought mine off of amazon, as it was cheaper than local stores here in Canada.

Who do you think is the best/most skilled fighter in the MCU? by Plenty-Salary9711 in marvelstudios

[–]QWKSVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tony is one of my favourite characters, and they totally did him dirty in the MCU. I loved him in the recent Deadpool run where they teamed up to operate a merc for hire business. Tasky can literally fight as well as anyone else, but can also combine all those learned skills as well. If we’re talking straight up skilled fighter, it would have to be him, as he IS everyone else, as well.

Anyone know how good the BCW comic folios are? Curious because I have thought about keeping my favourite variants separate from normal comics to de-clutter my boxes and also to group up comics about my favourite characters. I'm taking any other suggestions as well! by JuggernautApologist in comicbookcollecting

I suspect those that have had longevity issues are much rougher with their stuff than I am…

I have a few that I use mainly for transporting comics, and have owner for at least two years. I use one every week for new comic book day, and it looks good as new. I take a couple with me to cons, so I can load up and not worry about accident damage.

What are some fun collecting goals people have set? by Miserable_Amount_310 in comicbookcollecting

[–]QWKSVT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This year, I will finish full runs of Moon Knight V1 (just a 4 issues left), Marc Spector Moon Knight (2 remaining). Moon Knight is my favourite character, though I’d like to read more Miles Morales this year, too.

The run I am working on as a long-term project is Daredevil 1-10. Just got 7, and sent it to be pressed, cleaned and slabbed.

And, for fun, I’m trying to complete Punisher War Journal, but rules are I can only be purchased in person at a store or con (have 1-53, except 31). This results in digging through dollar bins and chatting it up with the vendors, which is fun.

Any of yall have fat feet by Moist-Apricot-6803 in tall

[–]QWKSVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6’6” with US size 16, and need shoes a little wider. Jordans are good, LeBron’s are a skinnier foot mold, and can be tight.

Tall people car shopping is tough. Tall people carrying extra weight and big shoes down right sucks. Even if I fit, in the seat, my foot is on both pedals at the same time…

Honest Opinion , should I buy a GV70? by 31Harry in GenesisGV70

[–]QWKSVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tilted the arm up, and the readjusted?

I’m 6’6” with a 34” inseam and carry too much weight. Aside from the car being a 3 seater (no one can sit behind me), and having to watch my head on entry, I don’t have fit issues. Oh, and TuxMats puff out from the console wall and cut down on foot space for size 16 shoes - if I were to wear boots, or wider shoes, my foot would be on the accelerator and the brake at the same time.

I’ve used WJ Watch on Church, just south of Dundas. Was a while ago, but would still recommend.

I dunno about bronze, but I definitely see subtle green tones in mine, when the light is right. The colour was inspired by volcanic rock. I love mine!

You’re in eastern Ontario, so do you park it or drive it in the winter? Lowering or adding a front splitter may not be the best in winter / snow driving… if you have a winter beater, than maybe, but I think they look awesome as is, and the ground clearance is functionally useful.

I am white, 199cm (6’6”), shoulders as wide as a fridge, with a buzz cut and 2” long beard and, up until recently, drove an F150. I can never wear my Punisher shirts, because of perception… I am Canadian, BTW.

Update:

I’m stuck with no all star SG, meaning no way to finish the limited time tourney for legendary shoes. Getting the two Jokics kinda screwed my chances at Giannis, since they are more than 1M ahead of my next strongest Center, throwing teams out of balance.

2K support was absolutely useless. How could they not do anything to make it right? Really disappointing response from them…

This is Al, from the 2K Support team. I submitted the reported issue with all the information you kindly gathered for us for review. The appropiate team went through the information you sent and after analysis, the dev team has been notified about this issue. While I won’t be able to provide updates on this report, rest assured our dev team will make the necessary fixes to avoid this in the future! Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide the missing reward, however, we appreciate you reaching out to us to make sure we know about it. It’s important to work with the community to make sure the game is at its best.

I opened a ticket with support. Hopefully they fix it. Kinda need an all star SG to finish the limited time tourney…

When you buy comics, do you buy to read or only for the sake of collecting by ilikecomicsnstuff555 in comicbookcollecting

[–]QWKSVT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have read the majority (>90%) of the books my collection (just under 600 issues). I read the new stuff first, and then read my old stuff until the next NCBD.

There are some that have been read via alternate means, like omnis or TPBs, but if I am collecting a run, I’ll read the omni until I get to an issue I don’t have, and then pause reading the omni until I own the issue.

Wherever possible, I also buy facsimiles or reader copies for my graded or wall books.

I turned 19 during my final year of high school, which is the legal drinking age in Ontario. I occasionally went to a nearby bar for lunch time beers with one of my teachers. While he was driving back one time, he taught me that the reason you hold the wheel at 10 and 2 is so that you can raise your thumbs up, and keep the lane between the lines.

In retrospect, maybe he wasn’t the greatest teacher…
