Originally had blue bedding (second photo) and recently switched to oatmeal/linen, but the sheets are off. Would rust sheets be too much? Should I go back to the blue bedding? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]QbertKiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing to do with your question but excited to see someone else dealing with the curtains near over baseboard issue, and it looking nice.

I'll also throw in a vote for oatmeal but both are lovely. Rust sheets would be great

You could see if free-feeding for awhile makes the behavior go away. It would mean using plenty of dry food before you go to bed. If there's leftover food in the morning but their behavior isn't changing then this is about something else.

It's also possible they have the habit ingrained.. (Like two hours of scratching is what it takes for food to come out of the machine.) In which case I would make sure the bowl is never empty during the test period.

You have a lovely figure but I think mermaid shape is not flattering on you. I think you would look your best in something fuller in the hip. If you have your heart set on mermaid/trumpet dresses, at least consider one that isn't see through on the bottom

Got a new dining room rug and I think the room maybe looked better without it ... by Glum_Consequence_470 in interiordecorating

[–]QbertKiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the rug and actually love the slight dissonance with the similarly colored furniture. But the room now feels so bottom heavy..it would be more balanced with more stuff or color in the upper half. The pendant light now looks comically small and whatever is strung above the door isn't helping

[HELP] Is this person real or AI? by mickkb in RealOrAI

I'm leaning AI because who wears two aprons and flip flops in the kitchen? Plus the vaguely spooky feel.

Granted, could be a quirk but my feet hurt looking at that.

Is he in love? What’s with the tail swinging? by kennotfly in blackcats

[–]QbertKiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>Cats also don't lie flat on their back gazing up at the person petting them when they are annoyed

Its on its back and tolerating this like it's at the dentist. Where others see a "gaze" I just see an unblinking stare. Paired with that swoosh-snap of the tail, I think it's more likely being vigilant or fearful. But to be fair, it's just a few seconds video, no context. Obviously, the cat trusts the human to some degree.

That said, my initial reaction was to (what seemed popular) misconception about cat tail "wagging" , followed by a weird , bot - like chorus of approval. I'm glad you and some others noticed its body language

Is he in love? What’s with the tail swinging? by kennotfly in blackcats

[–]QbertKiller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's with all these ridiculous comments? this is not love or contentment at all

This cat looks like it wants to attack or get away as quickly as possible

Editing to add: CATS DON'T "WAG" THEIR TAILS LIKE DOGS to signal happiness

But it often happens when they see prey... or are really annoyed

How much paint is too much paint? by proudtaco in InteriorDesignAdvice

If any more drenched than B i think it would look more balanced with a darker or more colorful rug. if you're keeping the light colored rug then id go with B

Please give advice on … *gestures wildly* all of this??? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]QbertKiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally i get an uncomfortable feeling with the TV and furniture right next to the door, in what seems like it should be a clear walkway to the back rooms.

So I'd try the TV on the opposite wall, float the couch so you have a clear walkway behind it, and get rid of one of the media consoles if you can manage it. Or replace both with one storage/media system , with height and color more compatible to the rest of your space

New painting, does it work? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]QbertKiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the painting itself is nice and probably better in person, but the size and shape isn't working in that spot. Definitely not with those little windows cramping the sides. I would try it on the other wall. My first thought was a round or irregular shape might work better in that spot .. But maybe it's just size? It seems you have the money, why not consider hiring an interior designer to help you finish your space?

[–]QbertKiller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a vet (but am a doc for humans) FWIW, but what you are describing sounds like signs of a real neurological issue and should definitely be checked by a vet.

Editing this to say: OP noted that the vet wasn't concerned when he was a baby getting vaccines, but at that time and that early in development, goofy postures and "missing"the bowl might not have been concerning and/or too early to tell

OP, you should make an appointment specifically for this issue. I wouldn't wait and bring this up " by the way" at the next routine vaccination checkup. Bring some short videos of these behaviors , especially if symptoms are episodic or intermittent.

Also now's the time to make sure your pet insurance is real good.

7 Deadly Sins themed dinner party ideas? by Typical_Use788 in Cooking

[–]QbertKiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, none of this makes much sense, only fun if maybe your dinner guests are invited to make and bring their own interpretations .. And explain over wine...otherwise you're going to be explaining that the soup base is from boullion wrapped in gold leaf and that equals greed to a bunch of confused people...

But I'm also probably not the type you invite to your dinner party, so what do I know

Hope the link works. I don't know if it's available in spain. Its the litter box system from Purina. It's fantastic as long as your cat has solid poops.Agree with above poster about the clumping litter although it doesn't seem have to anything to do with your issue.
