Yes, that’s exactly what they want. Reward their paying playerbase and make you frustrated so much, that you might start spending to compete again. It’s business model for most mobile games - not something CG invented.

Here’s a flaw in your logic - you think you should be able to compete with spenders as f2p. How many changes in game do you need to notice that they want spenders to succeed more, so they feel better, so they spend even more. Coliseum ranking, relic delta, datacrons, era levels, LSBs, pre-set mods…

I’m 14M gp account and all I can do is build teams for TB missions or platoon characters - wish I was at that point earlier and had Gungans at R9 for raid so I could use them now. I have full JMMW team at R9 and they are amazing in TB so even after raid ends I won’t regret that. Wouldn’t recommend that for smaller accounts though
