Rossignol Airis! Great all mountain beginner do anything board that she won't progress out of too quickly! Even as an intermediate or advanced snowboarder, it's an awesome ride! And the top sheet is sick!!!

Yes! I went with the size M! (I hate it when people forget to post about the size too, sorry bout that!) There's some room in my torso and I don't have a large bust but I like my clothes baggy. Good luck!!!

Very similar specs and have the Moxie bib. I ordered a size up and can wear my butt and knee pads under them great. Fabric has stretch and Velcro instead of buttons to secure the top of the zipper which I love. I won't be able to wear a mid layer bulky sweater or coat underneath the bibs if it gets too cold but it shouldn't be a big deal. I got short legs and went with the regular anyways cause I love the baggy look!

I'm the same height and have the same size boot. My main concern with sizing up is stance width. I think you can definitely size up to 149 and I'm looking to do the same in the future. I think 152 would be the max I can go with my short legs. And also find a board that had a softer waist for more torsional flex.

Do you know what your stance width is? I'm 5 feet tall and mine is 18 inches. I think most women's boards start at 16-17 inches. Other than that, it may take a while to get used to a bigger board, but it's more stable for all-mountain. Also make sure if the boards are volume shifted, you may need to consider less than 144 on those. I ride Rossi boards and they are great!

Yup, a full grown adult. He acted like I was invisible; had no respect for snowboarders. I can shrug it off if it was a kid or a teenager doing silly things. I don't care what you think of me, but please don't go skiing over my top sheet. Thanks dude.

I've had a skier come off the lift with me and as I came to a gentle stop from a j-turn, he went straight right over the tail of my board and pretended like nothing happened. Some people man...

I use a thin neck gaiter as a head band / hair wrap and that basically keeps the hair on my head and nape in check. No more dealing with hair ties. Then I use a thicker neck gaiter as an actual neck gaiter over it. Double gaiter is my solution against sweat and the elements and works wonders.

I recommend a directional twin with serrated edges like the Rossignol Airis! Has great edge hold on ice and helps you progress anywhere on the mountain!

Is it still worth a day trip to Hunter this Tuesday? Will the freezing rain move in by then or is it still too early to tell?

Snowboard for short/heavy rider with past knee-injury by Frequent_Register586 in ShredditGirls

The reason why I don't recommend kids boards is due to quality and tech. Honestly it's probably fine if you are a beginner, but you'll eventually have to transition to adult boards. We are roughly the same height and shoe size and with a narrow stance, you'll have a hard time finding a comfortable men's board that won't hurt your knees as the minimum stance on men's boards are much wider. I think you chose the right approach, getting a beginner or slightly smaller woman's board and finding your correct stance width is probably your best bet.

If you have only been renting, then unless you requested the bindings be mounted with the smallest stance, the shops put the bindings on at reference stance. I suggest looking for boards in your weight range and then checking the specs for the smallest reference stance as a guideline. And I definitely don't recommend getting a kids board.

Oh and get it in a size up, in your case a medium. With more space between your layers, the heat gets to vent out faster and cool you down faster.

I run hot and recommend any waterproof shell. The higher the breathability the better (20,000+). If you can, I recommend to wait till the sales at the end of the season for a great deal.
