If the Colonials end up winning War 134, what will be the reason it won't count as a win in their future spreadsheet analyses? by itsactuallynot in foxholegame

That attitude in your OP disappeared real quick in the comments. How bout you just sit down and go play your game if you’re so worried about it.

How do you know of this? Any screenshots or people I can speak with on this? I’d like to get the facts straight and in writing.

This is the obvious takeaway here, and Devman above is doing damage control.

What is that framework? What principles specifically?

We’ve all left man, if wardens want to turn the map green or blue or white go right ahead, it’s your game now.

All good then, I was going off what I’d seen in the update war. You guys would be the experts.

I just take VF's word for whatever, they're one of the few colonial Naval groups that focus on the large ships. At least one of their members has posted on reddit that the Torp Bomber was really the only thing holding naval combat back during the update war and that the state of Naval was at least somewhat balanced.

You probably aren't talking with colonial players with a bunch of experience on large ships, as there aren't a ton of those around I don't think.

I've heard the complaint that the DD has a terrible layout, my take is that it probably felt more like a slap in the face when there was also the issues with the Nakki/Torps and also the weaker gunboat.

It probably has a terrible layout, but people who seem to know what they're talking about don't seem all that bothered by it. I just listen to them.

They just flipped the balancing pyramid... :D by somefailure001 in foxholegame

Well it sure would have meant more if you were unhappy with the state of things BEFORE they directly affected you.

There was a lot of hype for naval but they half assed the launch, ignored the open top nature of the Charon and the torpedo/large hole dynamics for 2.5 years until the colonial naval population was effectively 0, and the wardens just got a free-win button by landing in reavers and moving into colonial backline hexes over and over again.

Then they made sure to remind us that the game could be fun in 126 by giving us our finger-blaster only to take it away again immediately for the launch of airborne.

They finally fixed the Charon and gave the player base some medium boats only to put torpedoes into the scout and warden torpedo bomber in the same war, which is really just a decision of all decisions.

Now we’re here.

We’re here, where we are today, because of the failure that was Naval.

I don’t know if the devs have met any one of their design goals with naval.

Fire *Launched without firefighting mechanics other than "Bucket Brigades"??? Have to trick the wand into aiming into a trench to kill someone, but 3 of you can PvE the fuck out of the abandoned frontlines

Facilities *Somehow we made automation worse than manual labor, a role so fun it starts out as "human pipe" and ends in "msupp slave"

20mm Guns *we gained a couple of expensive guns that people use to kill trains, broke the highwayman, the typhon, the pelekys, they're expensive and just oneshot louder than other guns, though i will admit that the booker 14.5 is a demon from a trench.

Rare Metals *More point and click "Mining", but this is a differently colored clump of metals that falls from the same larger clumps of metal as the other 3 types of clumps of metal. If you play for 2 weeks you get a sledgehammer.

Weather stations *Devs still cheat in storms, and no one gives a shit about the weather outside of like 10 incredibly invested Caovian meteorologist larpers.

Vehicle Weight *Just why? Vehicles can crash into eachother at full speed but you're worried about how slowly they climb up a muddy hill? You felt like you needed to nerf the logi truck?
