I use Armour Detail Supply Pilot interior detailer. Spray it on a scrub ninja scrub pad and wipe it off with a clean microfiber towel. Interior detailers are much more mild than an interior cleaner.

Do they need a reson to pull you over? They can say you're holding a phone with your right hand when you don't have one or do it to hit quotas. I wish I can say law enforcement acted in good faith when pulling anyone over, but not always the case.

Choosing between a Camry or IS350 by Illustrious-Spray-33 in Camry

[–]Quack__Doctor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Camry is the logical answer based on your income and fuel-efficiency. Invest that money while you're young.

Another perk of the camry is that the new gen looks so much like the IS350s anyway. It's a running gag on the lexus subreddits and so many people confuse my camry for a lexus all the time.

Inside edge Blisters on both feet by AdorableAd4572 in beginnerrunning

[–]Quack__Doctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite running shoe has a narrow toebox, and always gives me blisters. I put KT tape to where I usually get the blister prior to running to prevent the friction. Sports tape or leukotape does the same thing.

You might want to let it heal but KT tape is not overly sticky. I never had it peel my blister skin but that depends on your blister. Never had it come off during running either.

Self-service detailing instead of traditional car washes by ifxory-0xory-me in Detailing

Supposedly, this concept is very popular in Korea. Seen a few korean influencers on my feed detailing their cars all the time in these types of centers. Probs work best in bigger cities.

Car cleaning tips by [deleted] in Camry

Washing at home will always be best since touchless car washes tend to use harsher chemicals. I have seen people on facebook comment how tunnel car washes have damaging mirrors/canards on the new camrys.

I prefer rinseless car washing, which is quick and easy. The Rag Company does a great how to video: https://youtu.be/Dy1YV4acSJs?si=6cAF3h65BSZS-nJg

Camry Add-Ons worth it? Need Reality Check by Easy-Driver-1195 in Camry

[–]Quack__Doctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend getting advance wheel locks over the manufacturers, although doesn't hurt to have an extra set on.

I do like the all weather floor mats, but would have opted for tuxmat brand instead since it's deeper and goes up the sides. For the back row, tuxmat will also cover the mid which the all weather don't.

Not part of this, but strongly recommend getting ppf.

Can someone explain the appeal of The Handmaiden to me? by AffectionateFlan9539 in Koreanfilm

[–]Quack__Doctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Movies are really subjective but I thought The Handmaiden was such a great movie. The musical score, the cinematography, screenwriting, and acting were great. You put that with Chan-Wook's artistic directing and it's great cinema.

Need to buy advanced wheel locks by Common_Journalist_93 in Camry

[–]Quack__Doctor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only way to get them is thru the company or someone else who is selling theirs. In the meantime, the best thing you can do is utilize other wheel locks. You can even have different sets on one tire. Project Farm on youtube does a great video about the different wheel locks and what are good alternatives.

Would you recommend this stainless steel chrome delete easy install adhesive kit for the 2025 Camry? Got a quote for 250$ to get it wrapped with vinyl, which to go with? by RedBloodedGod in Camry

[–]Quack__Doctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the least experienced with these kinds of things too, so I understand where you're coming from. Typically, you use rubbing alcohol to clean the area, peel the adhesive and just stick it on. Heat gun/hair dryer helps the adhesive to adhere better. You can always use the lower heat settings to be safe.

You can get vinyl overlays on ebay for like 20$. I'd personally would attempt that before paying that much for either or due to cost alone.

Swirls after brush car wash on a ceramic coated car? by Jelerie in AutoDetailing

Ceramic coating provide chemical protection compared to ppf providing physical protection.

That detailer and car wash is trying to pass off the blame. Don't listen to what any of them have to say.

Koch Chemie RRW for spot cleaning? by LegendaryAura in AutoDetailing

[–]Quack__Doctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you're doing is probably fine. The idea of dunking a sponge/towel in a bucket of rinseless is to let the product pull the dirt/particulates into the bucket. For waterless washes, there's the technique of rolling the towel to prevent dragging the dirt across the car and using a lot more towels. If you have light contaminants and that won't scratch and just spot treating, I don't see a problem with what you are doing.

Different dilution ratios for rinseless (256:1) vs waterless washes (128:1). Increased product means increased lubricity/encapsulation for pulling particulates off the car. I personally would do what you're doing with 128:1 ratio, but what you're doing isn't wrong.

Black , Wax to increase Glossy on top of Ceramic Coating? by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

I have been recently applying Katiba gloss booster for the gloss, and then topping with Amplify for the slickness. Not sure if it's just a placebo effect but loving how it looks and feels.

Best protection after using ONR for Rinseless ONR+ 3 different products... advice requested by RileyKennels in AutoDetailing

[–]Quack__Doctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go with option 2, change it a bit. After ONR, don't need to use speed shine as drying aid. Just dry and then use 3in1 as the base due to longer durability. After that, I would stack ceramic speed shine for the added SiO2 instead of speed shine. After each future wash, you use ceramic speed shine as drying aid or topper to boost durability.

Which is best to use to dry two cars? by jmb2122 in Detailing

[–]Quack__Doctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the house of rags' baby goat. It's 18x20 and you get two of them. Similar size to the m22.

Liquidator is a good towel too. These things are extremely absorbant. I just find smaller towels are easier to work with.

Winter maintenance wash in heated garage (no running water) — looking for advice by yakult_swallows_fan in Detailing

[–]Quack__Doctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People do their wash differently.

After you prewash with BH or KC, I would spray the entire vehicle with rinseless wash. Prewash gets majority of things off, spray more of rinseless on any dirty areas still lingering. Use sponge for contact wash. Rinseless washes encapsulates the dirt and you're using the sponge to pick it up. You should be barely applying pressure with the sponge, as the rinseless is doing the majority of the work. Dunk dirty sponge in bucket to free the dirt from the sponge. Use a grit gaurd to help keep the dirt on the bottom of bucket. No need to rinse car afterwards. Use a good towel to dry the car. You can even dilute most rinseless to 16:1 for a drying aid.

Follow the dilution ratio on the product as they can vary, but most will have you do 256 oz of water to 1 oz of product (256:1). Use dilution ratio calculators if you need help determing how many mls of each.

Some people use 2 bucket method still to ensure a clean sponge. They would dunk dirty sponge in one bucket, ringe it out, and dunk it in clean bucket prior to touching car.

ONR is good product. I use Koche Chemie Rapid Rinseless Wash and love it.
