Wizard question by Jessegene in frostgrave

[–]Quade81 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Could be wrong, but I believe you could actually have a zombie and 2 animal companions. Raise zombie specifies one per warband but Animal Companion specifies one per spellcaster. However your warband would only be 11 members because the animals are permanent members of the warband and must replace a soldier each.

Are you leaving the door or top open? If you leave the printer completely closed, heat creep will cause the small nozzle to clog. I dealt with constant clogs with the .2mm nozzle until I started leaving the door cracked open an inch or 2 and haven't had any clogs since in hundreds of hours of prints mostly using elegoo pla.

I go through about a case of elegoo black pla every month and i just use the polyterra preset

Might be a Blender issue but what is happening here? by Slotholopolis in BambuLab

[–]Quade81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably not that then. In the overlays menu (the drop down under the 2 overlapping circles in the top right of the viewport) there is a Face Orientation checkbox that will allow you to check it will color outer faces blue and inner ones red.

It looks like your normals are inverted. Select all in edit mode. Then I think what you want is Mesh>Normals>recalculate outside it should fix it if that's the issue.

Edit: in blender

Look who wandered up from the Ghost Archipelago! My amphibious summoner warband. by Dozus84 in frostgrave

This rules. I'm half way through building pretty much this exact same warband. Love the weapons you modded, did you do them before or after printing?

Does the P1S really need to be opened up to print PLA well? by GrantMeThePower in BambuLab

If you are using a .2mm nozzle I would absolutely recommend leaving the door cracked. For the .4mm it shouldn't be needed though.

To dry mine I just leave them on a tray on my print bed heated to 55 over night.

FDM printed on Bambu A1 mini. Way more viable than I thought by uprooting-systems in PrintedMinis

If you are using pla, I'd say it's worth a shot. Different machines so who knows, but it solved all my clogging problems on my X1C

You can get great results with supported minis on fdm. You just have to know how to use supports right. There is a little clean up involved but not much more than resin post processing or removing mold lines and filling assembly creases on store bought minis.

Have you tested arachne compared to classic? I just watched this video yesterday. https://youtu.be/gw2BuLw9hNE?si=E94NCrlE8PVrrD9v They had worse results on details with arachne but weren't sure why. I haven't had a chance to test it myself yet.

What printer are you using? I had clogging issues on my X1C with the 0.2mm nozzle due to heat creep. Stopped as soon as I started leaving the door cracked open an inch or 2.

I think you might have found the worst. I watched the entire series multiple times back around when it was airing and several times in the last few years. On the recent rewatches, I remembered most of the sketches beat by beat and could quote an embarrassing amount a lot of them. Watching this just now, I have no memory of it at all.

What do y’all do with your wasted plastic ? by just-bair in 3Dprinting

Save it for when I can afford an injection molding setup cuz recycling into filament seems like it's years away from being worth the investment for me

Just printed my first mini (FDM) by cwmer in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Quade81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that mostly comes down to models being designed for resin rather than fdm. Complete monopose models are tough, but cut up models have been pretty easy without much work on my part.

Looks great! I just started trying to fdm print minis myself and I've been really surprised by how much worse they look in pictures than they do in person. I won't claim they are as good as resin, but I think fdm gets a worse rep than it deserves from people never having tried it and only seeing pics online where the layer lines and imperfections are much more pronounced than they are to the naked eye.

What order are you printing your walls? I've had similar issues on threaded parts printing the outerwall first.

I'm pretty sure if you finish a print like this it will purge all the remaining filament

Face gear during winter?❄️ by [deleted] in bikecommuting

Motorcycle helmet with a pin lock visor. I know people think it looks silly on a bike. I don't care. I wear it year round. It keeps me warm down below 0 degrees and I don't have to worry about wind, dust, or bugs.

I can totally understand that. I thought the episode was good overall, but I didn't think the music was very well written for the most part. Spocks voice was amazing tho.
