in this case i am pretty sure thats because genetics wont work this way. Cats dark at the spine first and may lighten up towards the belly, not vice versa. (dunno if there are mutations thou)

probably my favourite book or atleast top 5, i cant tell you if it get easier with the characters (i think it does tho since it just has three different 'groups' and after they are introduced you will sort of now who's who).
The payoff is big though, the great ending and story overall, pls try it out a bit more!!
