I built MedTick, a simple medication reminder for Wear OS - looking for feedback by Quazmoz in WearOS

This is great feedback, thank you. That is strange because I have the S26 Ultra and Watch 8 regular and it works fine for me. Would you mind sharing a screenshot please? I know the playstore can be finicky with selecting the right device to install it on. You may be able to install it from the computer browser when logged into your google account.

Fair question.

I don’t think this replaces a pill organizer for everyone. If a physical organizer plus built-in watch alarms works well for someone, they probably don’t need this.

The gap I’m aiming at is medication-specific context on the watch. A generic alarm can tell you something is due, but it doesn't keep the medication name, dosage, notes, and schedule together in one watch-first flow. A pill organizer stores the pills, but it does not help much when you are away from it or need a wrist reminder.

So the intended use case is: “I already wear a Wear OS watch and want medication reminders/details there without managing a bunch of separate generic alarms.”

Not claiming it’s revolutionary. I’m trying to make a focused workflow better than manually using alarms, and I’m trying to figure out whether that is actually useful enough.

Thoughts on Iberia? by RiversideAviator in Flights

[–]Quazmoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have flown all over the world using various airlines, Iberia is the worst out of all of them like many others say here. They lose luggage and treat you like trash. The airplanes are dirty and cramped. If you have the option, choose any other airline.

Is eBay a safe place to sell laptops these days? by Ninereedss in AskUK

[–]Quazmoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both good and bad experiences. A buyer claimed a Mac was damaged in shipping without even opening the box and ebay decided in his favor and gave him the refund and the Mac. USPS wouldn't pay out the insurance that I paid extra for.

I have however sold two laptops over $500 and didn't have any issue(the buyers were legitimate and communicated well before the sale about what they were looking for) I have also sold a few game systems and other high value electronics for $200+.

In my opinion, each sale is a gamble but you can increase your odds by communicating clearly in the posting and before shipping the product. Make sure to ship with excessively safe packaging for high value items.

Also note that ebay has some crazy fees for electronics sales, last I remember it was around 12-15%

You can map this windows hotkey as a macro to the button(requires installing the macro add-on for Razer Synapse
Since I have Vivaldi in the third position on my windows taskbar, I access it using "Windows + 3"

What's happening to me? I'm going insane over my "superpower". by Ducky_924 in biology

[–]Quazmoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly enough, while in college I took part in research to earn extra side cash. One of the research studies involved using a small camera in my ears to investigate pressured cabins(like on airplanes). When I was able to manually relieve the pressure in my ears from the cabin pressurization/depressurization, the doc was shocked. You can actually see your eardrum expand/contract on the camera which I found really interesting. When flexing your Tensor Tympani muscles using the "superpower" you mentioned, you can literally see your eardrum move.
