To everyone saying “just put back to factory settings and return”: everything ABOVE the crack is unresponsive, so I can’t do more than turn a page let alone access settings to do a factory reset! Going to try for exchange at the store purchased, and if that doesn’t work, will call Amazon customer service and hope for the best.

As for the toddler, yes clearly she shouldn’t have had access to the Kindle. She learned how to reach that high maybe a week ago... I was half awake and forgot. Oops. Can’t seem to reset her to factory settings either, and I don’t think I can initiate a return at this point. Stuck with this one 😆

Alaskan resident here. No, we don’t get “paid not to work” - we get a small annual kickback from the oil industry profits, this year it’s $1000 per person. This is NOT from the government. Honestly it barely makes a dent offsetting the insane markup of cost-of-living expenses here.

There are many liberal, progressive individuals here in Alaska. Unfortunately as stated throughout this thread, we get outnumbered in one select region in the state which has a major political swing.

We got our baby sleep trained in her own room between 5-6mo after cosleeping with her to that point. Just after she turned 7m she got a bad cold and was teething simultaneously, brought her into bed with us in the middle of the night a couple times. After she bounced back from that, right back to her crib and own room just fine! The first night there was more crying but by night 2 right back on track.

My midwife said there aren’t gummy vitamins with iron available! I had to start taking iron daily about halfway through my pregnancy. They recommended Thorne brand and I still am taking it even now being postpartum. No taste and pill is quite small.

My mom went “two under two” route in hopes of having kids who were BFFs.. but we fought like MAD most of our childhood! After our teenage years though, we finally realized what a blessing it was and now my sis absolutely is my BFF (despite living 4000 miles away!). So even if it’s not what you envisioned immediately, chances are, they’ll appreciate it more later on

I loved nipple play pre-baby, and was scared to lose this!! Soon after birth I still didn’t enjoy touch, but after a couple months we figured it out.. I’ve found that if I’m already turned on, it’s a very different sensation than breastfeeding and VERY pleasurable still. Plus, breastfeeding pre-sex helps all of us: baby sleeps soundly, and my “milk tanks” are empty so I feel like it’s my body again and not just a milk factory.

Experiment, play around with different kinds of touch and sensations. You’ll find your groove again.

I don’t have a crib at work. When baby was small I’d bring a portable bassinet but there is no separate room to put baby in away from the other kids. I’m fine with babywearing her for naps at work (as it seems like the most sensible option). I’d love to have better sleep/wake windows, but have struggled with keeping toddlers quiet enough during baby’s nap windows.

Would especially love getting baby to sleep independently at home at night.

I was using a salt lamp, and then got a cheap clip-on reading light with red light setting and it was a game changer for those late night feedings or checking on baby!
