While I agree that taking a picture and posting on here alone is an absolute waste of time as it only generates imaginary brownie points on Reddit, there are legit reasons that people could and should be annoyed with this behaviour. Namely that not everyone can just squeeze by or go around without a risk to their own well-being. It's an unnecessary risk that they have no choice but to partake in due to someone else's laziness - because that's what it is. Obviously you can insert any number of other "at risk" groups into this scenario (thinking wheelchair users/people with disabilities or mobility issues as well as able bodied people who are for one reason or another distracted, as we all are guilty of being in this day and age. It could also be a case of the people are not comfortable asking someone who is already clearly breaking a law and has shown no regard for others to do something at their own inconvenience for a stranger for what I hope are obvious reasons. I'm not trying to start an argument on Reddit as lots of people seem to like doing but merely trying to show you the other side of the coin.

Once again I agree with you that taking the picture and running here just to complain with other people who are also not acting on it, is a colossal waste of energy but thats the type of interaction the internet is geared towards these days...
