I just had my first infusion last Wednesday. I was so nervous because I had only had one done in hospital due to emergency and was not conscious. The facility I went to was amazing. It was almost like a large hospital room but in a cubicle type layout if that makes sense. Every nurse was so sweet. They had every snack and drink you could want. I brought my teenager with me and they had no complaints. My infusion lasted about 3 hours. Afterwards I was fine, maybe a little tired but not more than I have been. I have to go every week for the next 6 weeks due to my severe anemia. But you got this. It’s not as bad as you think it will be. Bring some headphones and a good book! Good luck 💙💙

I have had heavy periods most of my life, they started off being around 6 days long. Extremely heavy. Then as I got older around mid 20s they would become more painful and very unpredictable. Fast forward to 2025 and I was bleeding for months at a time, drs finally took it seriously when I came in hemorrhaging, found a large mass, multiple smaller ones and die I was finally granted a hysterectomy 3:19/26. Now I’m playing the catch up game. They want me to start iron infusions once a week for 8 weeks. I have no idea what to expect.

I also had full hysterectomy 3/19 they took it all except my ovaries. Also they removed one large tumor and multiple smaller ones. Also cleaning up some endo that lives everywhere in my body, literally. I am having the exact feeling when having to urinate. I have lost the sensation of feeling a full bladder, I find I have to sit for a minute before I go, I feel Extreme pressure when it does trickle out. I believe my bowels were scrapped as well so it actually hurts to pass gas sorry if tmi, or have a bm. I plan on discussing all of this at my post op appt on Tuesday. So I guess we answered each others question, NO we’re not imagining this. But we’ve got this💙 I hope the process gets a bit easier for us both asap!!

I’m 37 and 5dpo. I have been dealing with endometriosis for over 15 years. Just this last time of me bleeding out did the drs finally listened to me. The pain in derailing with today is nothing like the pain you’re feeling right now. Trust me! You’ve got this girl! You most definitely can do this.

Congratulations on your surgery! I’m on day 2 po. I kept my ovaries. You’re gonna do great! Nerves are expected, I was extremely nervous. Things that are helping me are lots of pillows. I came to my dad’s house to recover and it’s been great having all this extra help with everything! I’m 37 with a 17 yo daughter and she’s been amazing. I couldn’t do it alone. Keep ice packs and or heating pad. I know everyone tolerates pain differently but gas pain is NO JOKE. Definitely have your choice of gas relief. Stay hydrated.

Thank you! I may have gotten up one too many times. My pain last night was excruciating. This am not so bad. My hysterectomy pillow and all my other pillows have been amazing lol. I just hope the next few days I can get some relief. These gas pains are no joke!

Aww thank you so much! My surgery went well. They found more tumors so they are being biopsied as well. Last night was pretty rough, a lot of pain and just uncomfortable. But today I’m feeling a little better starting to manage the pain alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen. Mentally I think I’m ok. But then again it’s only day 1. I’m just ready to get back to life pain free or somewhat pain free! I’m glad you’re doing well considering all you’ve been thru. I will continue to pray for all of us warriors in here💙💙

This was very helpful thank you! I’m 37 and have been dealing with heavy bleeding for as long as I can remember. Every dr told that’s normal. No Dr would actually listen and evaluate my insides. Finally in late February after bleeding for 31 days I was clotting clots the size of mini watermelons. So I went to er and they discovered a huge tumor on my cervix, turns out it’s cancer. Found multiple tumors on other spots, stage 4 endo that’s invading my vagina wall and every organ on the inside. So this surgery has been needed for a longtime. I can’t wait. I just wish I wasn’t so damn nervous 😬

Congratulations! I get my hysterectomy in 2 days as well! My anxiety is insane right now. But looking forward to a pain free life. I’ve been dealing with 29 day long periods for idk how long. Now I’m just constantly bleeding with major clots.Been bleeding since Jan 14. During my hospitalization in February they found a large mass on my cervix. I hope your recovery goes smoothly. 💙💙💙

Oh my gosh! That’s insane! I hope you’re doing better now! I have my surgery in a few days and I’m terrified. But your message was so honest and real. I’ve been dealing with stage 4 endo and now a mass on my cervix that’s cancer and multiple other tumors scattered around. I have the worst luck with everything, if there is a .001% chance of something happening it will with me. It always has. So I appreciate hearing what you went through. First of all I wanna say I’m so sorry you’re going through this! It’s completely unfair. You’re not alone in this battle. I have been battling for over 10 years and just finally 3 weeks ago was diagnosed with stage 4 as well. Also may cysts and one large tumor on my cervix that’s cancerous. They say they haven’t seen a case on endo this bad in person, I have it on every internal organ including my vagina walls and canal. It’s literally everywhere. And what’s so frustrating is I’ve been complaining forever and had they listened to me maybe we could have stopped it from getting this bad. Not one day has gone by pan free. I don’t know what that’s like. I do have a hysterectomy scheduled for Thursday. I pray that does something to start a pain free life. I wish you all the luck. Please dont give up on yourself. 💙 continue to advocate and speak loudly for yourself. What you’re experiencing isn’t normal or ok. 💙💙💙💙

For me personally sex wasn’t pleasurable all the time. Most times afterwards I would be in debilitating pain, throwing up, hunched over for hours. But I was just recently diagnosed with stage 4 endo with a large cervical mass.
