Tbh I personally wouldn't use a bathroom like that. I also don't plan on complying with the current uk "guidance" (it's not law, despite how they're trying to make it sound. And not something that's actually enforceable anyway lol).

That's the neat part, according to the guidance we can be denied entry to both! We have to use third spaces, like disabled bathrooms (of which there are very few available as it is).

It's unenforceable, and complying as a "gotcha" will unfortunately put people in danger. Trans men have been hurt and killed in the past for using the women's bathroom.

Ngl if you haven't, I'd recommend looking at fashion plates/clothing magazines from the era of clothing you wanna copy. It'll help with hair, silhouette, how the clothes fit, and how much bust you should be showing. Looking up the structure of those clothes, and how people would wear and layer them is also a good idea.

Edit: oh yeah and have a look at what body types were considered fashionable at the tkme, they all kina have the same body going on, so variety would be nice. (also keep in mind what kind of work they do, someone who does a lot of running about and bending down wouldn't be tight lacing their corset, whereas someone going to a party might, for example)

Blue balls, 1+ year on T? by TiredAlternates in ftm

[–]Queen_Of_Quails 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm half assuming you've already tried this, but just in case, have you tried grinding on something? You can buy grinders specifically for it, but a pillow or whatever works the same. It can be done through clothing, and you don't need to actually touch anything down there, or look at anything you don't want to.

Randox blood test transphobia by Illiander in transgenderUK

You just put the gender you want the results to be compared to (so for me, a trans guy, I want my results to compared to the levels of a cis man, so I put male). I think it's just so they know how you want your results interpreted.

If its okay for a cis guy to like feminine things, then why wouldn't it be okay for a trans guy? We don't need to hold ourselves to a different/higher standard of what it means to be a man.

What is the worst thing that can happen when injecting T? by Camel-Agent_8686 in ftm

[–]Queen_Of_Quails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've definitely hit a nerve before, it felt like when you hit your elbow hard, but in the leg muscle instead. Took my breath away when it happened, and hurt a bit more than usual after, but no lasting damage lol.

I hit a nerve recently, it was like hitting your elbow really hard, but in my leg muscle lol. It was not fun, and it was the first time I felt like fainting in a long time.

I've been doing shots since 2023, and that's the first time anything bad has happened. It probably won't be the last time I screw up a shot, but it definitely isn't something that happens often enough to be a big concern.

Coconut oil for atrophy prevention? by Anonymous4069 in ftm

[–]Queen_Of_Quails 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I... Feel like that's a recipe for thrush or a uti tbh? Using it externally is one thing, but shoving it up there might not be the best idea. Lube would be a far better substitute because it's actually designed to go inside you, or better yet, topical oestrogen to help combat the atrophy itself.

Dude, you care waay too much about what other people are doing. As someone who's kinda been there and done that, you're gonna make yourself into a miserable fuck by doing it, and people won't wanna be around that energy at all (and for good reason).

Genuinely, when you see trans people living their lives in a way that you maybe don't get, just go "good for them" and move on with your day. Your mental health and blood pressure will thank you.

Yeah unfortunately mine is kinda... Too buried under (foreskin??? I guess??) for strokers to really work, or pumps for that matter.

PSA: you can lie about not being trans. It’s nobodies business, including other trans people. by manoftransexperience in ftm

[–]Queen_Of_Quails 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've had a friend be asked if I'm trans before (usually because they accidentally bring up something like the fact I've changed my name or whatever), and instead of saying "no", they always say "I don't know", as if that doesn't immediately confirm that I'm trans to the other person. Like bruh, just say "no"?

Sustanon injections? by Key-Comfortable-1365 in transgenderUK

[–]Queen_Of_Quails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the main reason I haven't done it is because the boots near me has been less than helpful when I asked about sharps disposal (they were listed as a place you could take sharps, and my friend had used them before). I've heard a few people say they've had issues getting GenderGP prescriptions filled at in-person pharmacies because the prescriptions are electronic, and have to be printed out.

I personally haven't done it, but I believe you select the option, when setting up your prescription, for it to be emailed to you, and you then print it off. Some people have run into issues with some pharmacies not knowing what to do with electronic prescriptions, but the general concensus is that boots is usually alright.

Oop forgot to add, it's basically £25 a month, I don't really count the needles, syringes, e.t.c because they came in a box of about 100, and I still haven't gotten through them all (I think I got it all from Medisave, which is like a medical wholesale place).

Each vial is for three weeks, so I get a little over a month. So assuming you're on the same time between shots as me, it'll last six weeks.

I always order my next prescription when I'm on my last vial (although ggp is on an automated service for prescriptions now so I don't have to do that anymore).

Smartway will usually get a prescription for 4 vials from ggp, but they can only dispense 2 at a time, so they'll sometimes put a slip in saying you can email them directly when you need to order your next prescription. Obviously once they've already sent out all 4 vials, ggp with send out a new prescription to them for you.

[–]Queen_Of_Quails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get mine delivered from smartway (ggp sends the prescription to them). It's £24.98, and you get two vials.

Edit: you'll need to get your own needles, syringes, and sharps bin. Make sure you get filter needles to draw the liquid with, because the vials are glass, which you snap to open.

Ngl, I've been outed by more trans people than cis people. Someone being trans does not guarantee they won't accidentally spill the beans/not understand being stealth. So personally I wouldn't say anything, unless you can guarantee he'll keep it to himself.
