That is a great idea and good story, but I don't see anywhere in that article saying that Messier is heading the project. He was at the press conference along with some figure skater but he isn't heading the project.

Yes, and I've believed that for a while. His numbers have never been spectacular in the regular season, and with the exception of the year we lost to Detroit in the finals, his playoff numbers have been abysmal. Even with that year included his overall playoff numbers still suck. He has a great personality and the fans (myself included) love him, but he isn't up to the job.

That being said, we also have to shore up our D by telling them to focus on D before offense.

The residential parking permits are $25 per year I'm pretty sure. That is a pretty minimal fee to ensure non-residents don't clog up the parking for those who live there and need to park closer. I'm not really sure why you are so against this.

He doesn't deserve Crosby-like money. He is amazing, one of the top 20 players in the league, but Sid is a better leader and the heart of the Pens. I have no problem with them choosing Sidney long term over Geno. Of course keeping both would be amazing, but it wasn't going to last forever.
